Unfortunately, a celebrity body language expert noticed what appeared to be tension between Sweeney and Zendaya. Body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke on behalf of Casino.ca about Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney’s interactions on the red carpet at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere. Honigman noticed how Zendaya appeared “hyperactive” and “excited.”
“She displays childlike movements with her co-stars, like a toddler excitedly catching up with friends,” Honigman noted. “She makes short, quick movements, suggesting she is running on adrenaline.”
However, Honigman said that Zendaya appeared to intentionally turn her head away from Sweeney “in a clear effort to avoid eye contact.”
“For her part, Sydney does exactly the same,” the expert noticed. “She briefly looks toward Zendaya, then quickly whips her head away to avoid eye contact.”
“The fact that the two stars can’t stand to even look at each other or pretend to be cordial may indicate that their friendship has gone past the point of no return.”
“There’s no stronger diss than pretending someone doesn’t exist at all.”
“This avoidance is more powerful than any demonstrative dislike, more than snarling, shouting, or hitting — the avoidance says that they refuse to accept the other’s existence.”
Honigman added that Zendaya’s poses on the red carpet looked “tense and slightly uptight,” as her shoulders were raised.
“When she smiles for the cameras, her mouth appears tight, with lips pressed together, an expression that reveals a nervous mindset,” the expert continued.
Zendaya also looked anxious as she smoothed down her dress. “Smoothing down her dress appears to be an attempt to regain control, suggesting she feels slightly unsettled on the red carpet,” Honigman said.
Sydney Sweeney’s facial expressions looked calm and poised on the red carpet
According to body language expert Inbaal Honigman, Sydney Sweeney used her “signature neutral facial expression” while at the Euphoria Season 3 premiere.
“It’s an expression designed to appear pretty and ethereal, suggesting that Sydney prefers to project a calm, composed image in public,” Honigman noted.
“In practice, however, this neutral look can read as slightly bored, with her lowered eyes giving the impression she’d rather be elsewhere.”
“Her expression can make her appear mildly disengaged or fed up.”
Honigman added that Sweeney showed “one clear sign of unease” as she fidgeted with the hem of her dress.
“Her repeated fiddling appears to be a self-soothing behavior,” Honigman suggested.
“Sydney has clear anxiety when alone on the red carpet.”

Sydney Sweeney made an appearance with Scooter Braun on the red carpet. According to Inbaal Honigman, the couple was spotted holding hands. And Braun’s hand on top of Sweeney’s suggested that “he is more dominant in the relationship dynamic.”
“The couple share a kiss that appears carefully timed rather than prolonged,” Honigman continued.
“Notably, Sydney pulls his face toward her, indicating a need for reassurance in the moment. Her hand rests on his cheek, creating a sense that he is her immediate source of support.”
As Sweeney turns away, she touches her hair, which Honigman says is “a classic grooming gesture that indicates a desire to look her best for her partner.”
