Brad Pitt Appears ‘Ambivalent’ Towards Girlfriend Ines de Ramon at the US Open

A multitude of celebrities were on hand for the 2026 US Open Men’s Final at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens, to watch Ben Shelton take on Alexander Zverev. In the end, the world No. 2 ranked tennis player defeated the American in front of the star-studded crowd.

Among those in attendance were Brad Pitt and his partner, Ines de Ramon. The couple took in the Women’s Final one day earlier as well. Now, an expert is breaking down what they noticed between the Fight Club actor and his girlfriend during their New York outings.

“In nearly every photo which emerged from their recent outings, Brad’s body language is apathetic towards his girlfriend, while Ines seems utterly enchanted by her man. In some of the photos, the difference is particularly stark — showing Brad’s face turned away from Ines, his eyes rolled up, looking bored, as Ines herself has her eyes resting directly on Brad’s face, seeking his approval, her head tilted empathically, showing she wants to listen to him.”

Honigman continued, “In other pics they’re both looking ahead, but Brad leans slightly away from Ines, which shows disinterest, while she leans a bit towards him, indicating a desire to be together. Even when Brad occasionally breadcrumbs Ines with some affection, he’s nowhere near as keen as she is.

“There’s a moment when he leans his shoulder towards her, unusually offering some warmth and closeness with his move. But this doesn’t even begin to match Ines’s affection towards him, as she is seen resting her cheek and her arm on him, expressing unparalleled devotion. On the one hand, it might just be that the movie star just feels uncomfortable or exposed being in such a public event. His hands buried deep in his pockets during the date are a sign of feeling guarded and uncomfortable.”

The expert concluded, “But Brad has been socializing a lot in public over the last few years, so this explanation is unlikely. More likely is the explanation that Brad is happy and comfortable with this balance of powers — him giving Ines a bit of attention, and her returning it in spades. His casual, inattentive approach to his girlfriend is at odds with how engrossed and focused she is with him. Ines is certainly devoted to Brad with all her heart, while he’s acting ambivalent towards her.”
