Bravo Alum Brandi Glanville Pitches Herself as Next Golden Bachelorette
Bachelor Nation is in crisis after ABC canceled Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette following accusations of domestic violence against The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star. Now, a Bravo alum thinks she might have what it takes to save the franchise.
Brandi Glanville wants to be the next star of ‘The Golden Bachelorette’
Brandi Glanville of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has pitched herself as the next star of The Golden Bachelorette.
“This was my idea,” she said on the latest episode of her Brandi Unfiltered podcast (via Instagram). “If they don’t air The Bachelorette, they could come and I could be the new Golden Bachelorette.”
“I do not have a rap sheet. I promise,” she quipped.
“I’m available. We can start shooting tomorrow,” Brandi, 53, added, noting that Paul’s scandals have lowered the bar for future Bachelorettes.
“I just feel like they need another kind of crazy girl but that doesn’t actually have any domestic violence problems,” she said. “Or a rap sheet.”
Brandi starred in RHOBH from 2011 to 2015. She’s also appeared in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, as well as Celebrity Big Brother, Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars Family Edition, and The Traitors. From 2001 to 2009, she was married to actor Eddie Cibrian, with whom she has two children.
ABC canceled Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’
On March 19, ABC announced that it would not air The Bachelorette Season 22 as scheduled after video surfaced of Paul attacking her former partner Dakota Mortensen in 2023. The Hulu star’s season of the popular reality dating show was supposed to premiere on March 22.
Filming on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 had previously been paused due to new allegations of domestic violence between Mortensen and Paul. Mortensen has since been granted temporary custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever.
Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was supposed to be a reset for the show, which last aired in 2024. Producers took a risk by casting Paul (whose controversial behavior was already known to SLOMW fans), rather than a contestant on a previous season of The Bachelor. But the stunt casting backfired in a major way. Now, some fans are wondering is Paul’s casting will kill the series for good. Meanwhile, ABC has not made any announcement about a potential second season of The Golden Bachelor spinoff The Golden Bachelorette.
