Taylor Armstrong is walking back her criticisms of this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

On February 8, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to Instagram to slam Bad Bunny’s performance at the game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, calling it “embarrassing” and complaining that the show was “totally in Spanish with a Cuban flag.” (Bad Bunny is Puerto Rico, not Cuban.)

The backlash was swift, leading Armstrong to issue an apology.

“My post did not fully reflect my heart or my respect for the artist and culture as a whole,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

The former Bravo star went on to admit that she “personally didn’t connect with the creative direction of this year’s halftime show, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Bad Bunny IS an American and that the Spanish language is a prominent aspect of American culture.”

Armstrong also addressed her big misunderstanding of one aspect of the show.

“Evidently, my lack of awareness of the latin culture led me to [mistake] the flag as Cuban,” she wrote.

“I sincerely apologize and plan to learn from this in the future … My intention was never to offend anyone’s culture or language and I’m deeply sorry to those I have hurt,” Armstrong added. “I should have taken more time to reflect on my thoughts instead of impulsively posting misinformation in the moment.”

Armstrong isn’t the only Bravo alum who’s come to regret her comments about Bad Bunny. Former RHONY star Jill Zarin lost her spot in an upcoming E! reality series after she complained because the show featured “literally no white people.”
