Today host and meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and her husband, Brian Fichera, are officially divorcing, as of March 2026.

So, who is Fichera? According to People, he’s a producer and freelance cameraman who worked alongside Dreyer at NBC. His professional path was closely tied to television production long before he became known as her spouse.

Fichera grew up in Easton, Massachusetts, and entered broadcasting in technical and production roles. He eventually started working for NBC News in various behind‑the‑scenes capacities. His career included roles such as an in‑studio technician and camera operator. Alongside his production work, he also co‑hosted radio segments. These included the Lunch Date with Dylan & Brian show on SiriusXM with Dreyer.

Fichera and Dreyer’s relationship began in the early 2010s. They were both working at NBC’s Boston affiliate WHDH, where Dreyer worked as a meteorologist, and Fichera worked as an in-studio tech. The couple married in October 2012 and went on to build a family. They welcomed three sons together: Calvin, Oliver, and Russell.

Unfortunately, after over a decade together, the pair announced a quiet separation in 2025. Dreyer officially filed for divorce in March 2026, emphasizing that they remain close friends committed to co‑parenting their children.

Dylan Dreyer might’ve hinted at relationship trouble in the past

During a 2022 Today interview, Dylan Dreyer touched on scheduling conflicts she might’ve had with her husband, Brian Fichera.

“Our schedules mean we don’t see each other much, but we text all the time,” she said, according to TV Insider. “Sometimes, it’s even easier to have an important or deep conversation via text because we get all our thoughts out without being interrupted.”

She added that she didn’t find texts “impersonal” despite what others may think.

“We know each other well enough to understand each other’s tone, so a lot gets accomplished through texting,” Dreyer continued.

The exes promised to ‘remain the closest of friends’ through their divorce

While Dylan Dreyer and Brian Fichera are going their separate ways romantically, Dreyer told her Instagram followers that she and Fichera are committed as co-parents and friends moving forward.

“For many years, I have shared my family with you all — the highs and lows, the ups and downs, and all of the blessings and beautiful memories in between,” she wrote in a post on July 18, 2025. “I am incredibly grateful for the support and love you’ve given me through it all. For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate.”

“We began as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends,” Dreyer continued. “Most importantly, we will continue to co-parent our three wonderful boys together with nothing but love and respect for one another.”

She also spoke about feeling “freed” by the divorce while hosting as a guest on Today with Jenna & Friends in November 2025.

“I appreciate everyone’s comments that have spoken up about my life and our decisions and what we have decided as a family, thank you for your opinions on that,” Dreyer said, according to People.

“Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce. That’s another story with a lot of wine and that’s a whole different thing, but either way we’ve gotten to this place,” she continued. “And there’s something freeing, I think, for Brian and I, where, whatever reasons, whatever broke in a marriage, you could either fix it if you can and ideally you would, and you try, and you try to fix things. Or, you accept that it’s broken and you take this new step forward.”
