Brooklyn Peltz Beckham is going his own way, for better or worse. 

The 26-year-old is trying to forge his own identity as he builds a life with his wife, Nicola Peltz, according to longtime family friend Gordon Ramsay. That’s causing him to overlook all the things his estranged parents, David and Victoria Beckham, have done for him over the years, the Hell’s Kitchen host said.  

“He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do,” Ramsay said in a recent interview with The Sun. 

“But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that,” he added. “That penny will drop.”

In January, after months of speculation about family tension, Brooklyn took to Instagram to confirm that he is estranged from his famous mom and dad. In his lengthy post, he accused them of caring more about their personal brand than their family and claimed they’d actively worked to sabotage his relationship with his wife. 

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he declared.

Brooklyn has apparently cut ties with his parents and siblings. But he remains in touch with Ramsay, who attended his 2022 wedding. Ramsay is also friendly with the elder Beckhams. The celebrity chef said he’s sympathetic to Brooklyn’s situation but hopes that he eventually patches things up with his former Spice Girl mom and ex-pro soccer player dad.

“Victoria is upset, and I know 24/7, seven days a week, just how much David loves Brooklyn,” Ramsay said. 

“Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible,” he added. “But it’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. It’s easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back.
