Cardi B and Offset divorce update: Here’s what Offset says about feeling ‘ready’ to move forward
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has been marked by public highs and lows, culminating in their second divorce filing in July 2024. The couple, who married in 2017, first separated in September 2020, with Cardi citing their marriage as “irretrievably broken” and seeking custody of their daughter, Kulture. They reconciled later that year, but tensions resurfaced, leading Cardi to file for divorce again in July 2024. The filing came shortly after she announced her third pregnancy, which resulted in the birth of their daughter, Blossom, in September 2024.
As of October 2025, the exes have not finalized the divorce due to ongoing disputes over financial terms. A report from DailyLoud claims Offset is seeking a significant spousal support settlement, with some sources claiming a 70/30 asset split in his favor. Cardi B has expressed frustration over the delays, implying that Offset’s demands are preventing the divorce from being finalized.
In October 2025, Offset spoke on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, about Cardi and the divorce. He confirmed that he and Cardi have yet to finalize the split.
“I’m ready to be over with — for it to be over with, yeah,” he said. “Just for both of us. I feel like that be a louder story than what we really love to do, which is music and art. That’s why I’m saying that — nothing toward her. It blinds people to what we are to the people, which are artists.”
Offset noted that he would never “play” with his “personal life” to sell music or have a viral “moment.”
“It’s real life,” he confirmed about the divorce. “It’s a hard thing to do.”
As for regrets, Offset says he “should have respected” Cardi “way more.”
“We got so much — our kids to live for,” he continued. “I was being selfish, you know what I mean? I can say that as a man.”
