Cassie Ventura walked out of a New York City courtroom last year, quietly welcomed a third child, then vanished from the spotlight. The disappearing act followed a harrowing, years-long retelling of the traumatic and abusive relationship she had with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Now, we are finally learning how Ventura has flown under the radar for so long. She no longer lives in the United States.

Cassie Ventura Left the United States

Cassie Ventura is no longer living in the United States and apparently has no plans of returning stateside; at least, that is what she declared in a recent court filing. TMZ obtained a declaration that Cassie filed in an ongoing civil lawsuit. In the declaration, filed on May 1, Cassie stated that she does not reside in the United States, does not intend to return to the United States, and that, while she is a citizen of the country, she is not a resident of California. It did not state where she resides now or with whom she resides.

In her declaration, Cassie noted that it would be easier for her to deal with the ongoing legal matter in New York. Some fans speculate that she might be living somewhere in Europe or the Caribbean these days, because of her venue request. While that’s possible, it’s equally possible that the former singer asked for her legal issues to be dealt with in New York because she has friends and family in the area. Cassie was born and raised in New London, Connecticut.

Where Did She Live Before the Big Move?

Cassie Ventura’s decision to leave the United States was likely heavily influenced by Diddy’s trial, her testimony, and the relatively light sentence the music mogul received. It would stand to reason that Cassie, and her husband, Alex Fine, would want to put some space between themselves and the spectacle that was the trial.

Before she testified against her former partner, though, Cassie did live in both California and New York. She, along with Fine, owned an $8 million La Jolla, California, property. She also kept a New York City apartment.

Cassie and her husband even welcomed their third child in the city while Diddy’s trial was ongoing. The baby, Cassie and Fine’s first son, was born in late May 2025. They never publicly revealed his name and have largely abandoned social media in the wake of the trial. It doesn’t seem like they are interested in returning, either.
