Cassie Ventura Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Husband Alex Fine
Cassie Ventura is now a mom of three.
On Tuesday, the R&B star gave birth to a baby boy, according to reports. Ventura, 38, and her husband, Alex Fine, 32, also have two daughters, Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 4.
The little one’s arrival comes two weeks after Ventura took the stand in her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs’ criminal trial. During her multi-day testimony, the singer shared details of their relationship, which she says was characterized by sexual and physical violence, as well as forced drug use.
In a November 2023 civil lawsuit, Ventura accused the Bad Boy Records founder of rape. The suit was settled out of court, with Diddy paying Ventura a $20 million settlement, she testified at the trial.
During the trial, Diddy’s defense lawyers asked the judge that the heavily pregnant Ventura be seated in the witness stand before the jury entered the courtroom, a request that was apparently denied. An expert told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that Ventura’s visible pregnancy could foster feelings of “sympathy” in the jury. Meanwhile, the prosecutors accused the rapper’s attorneys of drawing out Ventura’s time on the stand in the hope that she would go into labor, thus forcing a mistrial.
Diddy, who has denied all the allegations against him, faces five criminal counts, including sex trafficking and racketeering. His criminal trial is ongoing. He faces life in prison if convicted.
