Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s music career launched in 2006 with the sultry, minimalist R&B single “Me & U.” The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Produced largely by Ryan Leslie in partnership with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ company, Bad Boy Records, Ventura was set to be a big name in the music world. Unfortunately, her lawsuit and appearance in Combs’ federal trial overshadowed her name in the entertainment industry. However, fans think Ventura could make a comeback following Kesha’s shoutout to her on social media.

Kesha gave a shoutout to Cassie Ventura after receiving roses from the star

Cassie Ventura and Kesha’s public friendship has become particularly poignant as both women have spoken out against sexual abuse. Their bond deepened when Kesha publicly stood with Cassie amid the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial. She shared on social media, “Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.” The gesture reflected echoes of Kesha’s own experience in her legal battle with Dr. Luke.

More recently, Kesha shared that Cassie sent her flowers before her show in Madison Square Garden. The star posted a photo of pink roses to X with the caption, “Thank u Cassie. Love you sweet girl. My good luck angel for MSG.”

Kesha is currently on “The Tits Out Tour,” her boldest headlining run to date, co-headlined with the reunited Scissor Sisters — their first North American tour in over a decade. The tour launched on July 1, 2025, in West Valley City, Utah. And it continues through August 10 in Tampa, Florida, with standout performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York City.

After Cassie Ventura sent Kesha roses, fans expressed their desire to see Cassie and Kesha collaborate on music.

“Collab with her already!” one fan commented, creating a lot of buzz amongst other fans.

Other fans called Cassie a “girl’s girl” and loved the energy she brought.

At the end of the Madison Square Garden show, Kesha gave a shoutout to Cassie, too. “I just want you to know that all of this love is not only for me, it’s for anyone who survived any pain that they shouldn’t have had to survive,” Kesha told the cheering crowd.

Could the two women ever collaborate on a track together? While the possibility exists, neither artist has spoken publicly about their plans to pursue. However, there’s no doubt that Kesha would assist Cassie in releasing new music if Cassie chose to reenter the entertainment sphere. One fan on Reddit praised Cassie’s past music, including her unreleased tracks.

“Her first album was musical gold, even to this day, and her mixtape released in 2012 was actually pretty good and critically acclaimed,” a fan noted. “She has nearly 100 leaked songs floating around the internet, and some of them are actually pretty good even without Ryan Leslie. It feels like producers had to figure out how to take her vocals, make them fuller, and stretch them, making for some sonically interesting and pretty unique songs.”

Rumors swirled in late 2024 that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ ex wanted to release new music

In October 2024, a source told DailyMail.com that Cassie Ventura planned a music comeback after Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest.

“Cassie is considering making a comeback to music now that Diddy is behind bars and some of the executives who were his lackeys are resigning,” a source told the publication. “She couldn’t have imagined her career would have been stalled in the way it was when her first album came out, but she has so many unreleased records that she wants to release if the timing and business is right. Her collaborators have been informed of this, so the royalty splits have been agreed.”
