Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have split just five months after becoming parents to their first child.

The comedian and the model welcomed daughter Scottie Rose in December 2025. Unfortunately, the baby’s arrival did not solve the underlying issues in the couple’s relationship.

“They’re not getting along right now,” a source told People. “They were already struggling a bit while Elsie was pregnant. Things just happened so quickly between them and they didn’t know each other very well.”

Davidson and Hewitt were first linked a little over a year ago. She announced her pregnancy in July 2025.

While the pair aren’t getting along, they are trying to come to an agreement that puts their daughter first. They are “trying to work through” how they’ll “be able to co-parent,” the source shared.

“She’s not fighting Pete on seeing the baby, but it’s not smooth sailing,” the insider explained. “Ultimately they’d like to be friends and do things together, but it’s difficult to think about getting to that place right now.”

The Saturday Night Life alum is “a softie and he does want to be with the woman he has a child with,” they added. “It’s not totally out of the question. The split was mutual.”

Since welcoming Scottie, Hewitt has opened up about some of the challenges she faced as a new mom, including her decision not to breastfeed. On Thursday, she took to social media to share that she was completely exhausted by caring for her daughter.

“When u finally get screaming baby down for a nap and u exhale and sit with urself for a sec and realize u haven’t breathed for an hour or peed all day,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “The silence is deafening.”
