Chase Chrisley and his girlfriend Jodi Fournerat are still going strong, despite his family’s skepticism about their relationship

On September 2, Jodi took to Instagram to share a pair of photos of her and Chase cuddling in a backyard pool.

“My honey,” she captioned the joint post with her boyfriend.

Julie Chrisley is ‘not thrilled’ that Chase wants to propose to Jodi

The update coincided with the premiere of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, the new Lifetime docuseries starring Chase and his family, including his parents, convicted felons Todd and Julie Chrisley. The episodes that have aired so far have primarily focused on how Todd and Julie’s prison sentences have affected the family dynamic. But the show has also touched on other issues, including Chase’s romance with Jodi, which hasn’t yet earned his family’s seal of approval.

In the September 2 episode, Chase told his still-incarcerated mom that he planned to propose to Jodi. (Julie and Todd received pardons in May 2025.) Julie couldn’t conceal her surprise that her son had started making plans to marry a woman she’d never met. Chase and Jodi went public with their romance in November 2023, more than a year after Julie became her sentence for fraud.

“When he told me that he wanted to marry Jodi, I was not thrilled,” Julie said, adding that she “can’t be on board with my son marrying someone that I don’t even know.”

Meanwhile, Chase’s younger sister Savannah thinks Jodi is all wrong for her brother. In a clip (via YouTube) from the show’s upcoming episode, her grandmother, Nanny Faye Chrisley, urges the podcaster and aspiring politician to have a “come to Jesus” moment and give Chase’s girlfriend a chance.

“Nanny, don’t … I don’t have to give nobody a chance,” Savannah replies, adding that she thought Chase was “stupid” for planning to propose.

“He doesn’t even have his life together,” she said. “He lives with his grandparents.”

But Chase isn’t letting his family’s concerns put a damper on his plans. He’s said that he loves Jodi and feels accepted by her family, who have a totally different dynamic than the Chrisleys.

“Nobody’s getting into each other’s business and worried about what they’re doing 24/7, and they just love each other,” he said.

His “family, on the other hand, they love to get up in my business and think they know what’s best for me,” he added.

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime through September 16.
