Who Is Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams’ Ex-Girlfriend Alina Thyregod?
The Chicago Bears selected USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
Williams began his rookie season giving defenses fits and delivered a jolt to a Bears team that had been lacking that for some time. With so much attention on him now, fans in the Windy City and beyond want to know more about Williams’ love life.
The athlete is reportedly single at this time but previously dated Alina Thyregod and the two remain friends today. Here’s more about Tyregod and her years-long relationship with the NFL star.
When Williams and Thyregod met
Williams and Thyregod started seeing each other in 2023. They never shared exactly when they met, but they did date for a bit when they were in high school before calling it quits.
On a previous episode of the Pivot Podcast, Williams explained that Thyregod is someone he’s known for several years but they haven’t dated the entire time.
“She is from Europe, Danish. She moved from D.C. because her dad had a job in D.C.,” the football player revealed. “I met her at the end of her tenure. We dated a little bit. Then we ended it. Kept in strong communication throughout four years.”
Williams teased their appearance together before the NFL Draft
Just days before the 2024 NFL Draft, Williams let fans know that he and Thyregod were excited to show off their outfits.
“Wait till y’all see draft day suit and my ladies [sic] dress. 1 of 1s,” he posted on X.
Williams wore a navy double-breasted suit from Chrome Hearts, while Thyregod stunned in a silver dress from the label. The signal-caller spoke to GQ about wearing a custom suit by one of his favorite designers.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen it. The double-breasted being actually a zip-up,” he said. “I’ve never seen anybody wear it. Just the fact that I’ve been lucky enough, blessed enough to have the relationships and connection to be able to have a suit be Chrome Hearts.”
The quarterback also tried to coordinate his nail polish with Thyregod’s gown and shared: “My mom does nails … she’s done it for my whole life so it’s kinda always been around me. Nobody else does it … I don’t really care what people have to say about it.”
What is Thyregod’s occupation?
Thyregod is a production designer. She’s done some work on HGTV as well as Elle and aspires to break into the fashion industry.
Her love for fashion was on full display when she and Williams attended the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris during Fashion Week in June 2024. The two wore striking pieces by the French luxury designer.
Before the start of the 2025 season, it was reported that Williams and Thyredgod called it quits and are no longer together. However, they still remain friends today and continue following one another on social media. Williams even liked a carousel of photos his ex posted in late November.
