Christian ‘King’ Combs Details the ‘Year of Lies’ He and His Family Have Been Through After Diddy’s Trial
Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is a proud father of seven, and his children have grown into a close-knit, high-profile family. Quincy Brown, 34, Justin, 31, Christian “King,” 27, twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, 18, Chance, 19, and youngest Love Sean, 2, each share a different chapter of his life. From runway appearances at New York Fashion Week to launching their own music and fashion projects, the Combs kids are steadily carving out individual careers. Most recently, they wrote letters to support their father ahead of sentencing. Here’s what Christian “King” wrote about the “year of lies” his family had to endure.
Christian ‘King’ Combs and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ other kids wrote supportive letters
Sean “Diddy” Combs was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution under the federal Mann Act, but was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and racketeering conspiracy. He has been held in federal custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September 2024. And his sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 3, 2025.
Combs’ kids wrote supportive character letters ahead of his sentencing date. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie, and others wrote about Combs as a caring and loving father. Christian’s letter to the judge requested that his famous father leave jail immediately. He also detailed the year of “lies and discrimination” that his family has faced.
“He does not deserve to be there and I know this from the bottom of my heart!!” Christian wrote, according to Us Weekly. “We have been through a year of lies and discrimination and dehumanization and loneliness and separation and extreme stress on the family. This is my dad and he is the best father in the whole world. He has never ever taught me anything but to treat people with the most respect possible and to never be entitled and to always work for what I want and to treat people with love and kindness most importantly!”
Christian ‘King’ Combs says he has ‘good expectations’ ahead of sentencing
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ kids remain hopeful ahead of sentencing. Following the trial, Combs looked visibily relieved that the jury found him not guilty of the most serious charges. Now, his defense continues to push for a light sentence.
In August 2025, Christian “King” Combs spoke to Billboard about his Never Stop EP and working with Kanye “Ye” West. He also mentioned how he feels “good” after the trial.
“I feel good,” Christian said. “The whole family. … We just, you know, humbly, just waiting for the sentencing and waiting for pops to come home. We got good expectations. My new tape, Never Stop, is out right now. It’s going crazy.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son explained how he protects his peace
Christian “King” Combs explained on Side Dish that he and his family members have gotten through Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal battle thanks to their “unbreakable” bond.
“You really got to just be tight with family, and really just thank God, and not really let outside noise get inside,” Christian said when asked about how he protects his peace. “That’s what I think that we’re real good at. Me and my family, we got a bond together that is unbreakable. … So, we really just stay together as a family [and] don’t let the outside noise get in.”
