Christian ‘King’ Combs Has ‘Good Expectations’ for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Sentencing
Throughout Sean “Diddy” Combs’s high-profile federal trial, one constant presence in the courtroom was his children. They offered quiet but powerful support as their father faced serious legal challenges. Despite the intense media scrutiny and the gravity of the charges, several of Diddy’s children, including Justin, Christian “King,” and Chance, appeared in court during key moments, often seated near the front row. Their attendance sent a strong message: The family was standing by him during one of the most turbulent periods of his life. Now that the trial is over, King is speaking out about his “expectations” ahead of Diddy’s sentencing.
Christian ‘King’ Combs is keeping his hopes high ahead of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sentencing
Sean “Diddy” Combs faces formal sentencing on Oct. 3, 2025, in federal court in Manhattan, after the jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation for purposes of prostitution, though acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, having been denied bail multiple times. In preparation for the sentencing, both the defense and prosecution have submitted sentencing memoranda. Defense attorneys advocate for a 21–27 month sentence, arguing for credit of time served and citing jail conditions. And prosecutors are pushing for a term of 51–63 months, asserting that Diddy’s conduct and violent history call for a harsher penalty.
Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs, spoke to Billboard about his father’s upcoming sentencing.
“I feel good,” he said. “The whole family. We feel good. We just, you know, humbly, just waiting for the sentencing and waiting for pops to come home. We got good expectations. My new tape, Never Stop, is out right now. It’s going crazy. I’m happy to be here with Billboard. Thank y’all for having me.”
King added that when sentencing occurs, he plans to move forward with “positive vibes.” And he noted that his siblings plan to continue their creative pursuits and career moves.
“So, yeah, just, you know, continuing to live life and just bring positive vibes to the world,” he continued. “I think that’s just the main focus.”
Christian ‘King’ and Justin Combs allegedly appeared ‘jubilant’ after the verdict
After Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial, his kids appeared thrilled with the verdict. While Diddy may still face jail time, the jury found him not guilty of the worst crimes. An eyewitness from NewsNation noted that Christian “King” and Justin Combs appeared “jubilant” while in an elevator.
“They were jubilant,” NewsNation producer Tommy Christaldi alleged. He saw Justin and Christian jumping in the Manhattan courthouse elevator post-verdict. “They were jumping up and down to the point where I really thought the elevator might break.” The two men “were banging on the [elevator] doors, shouting, ‘Let’s go! Let’s go!’ It was a lot. They were clearly thrilled with the outcome.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ team filed for an acquittal and requested a new trial in July 2025
In late July 2025, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys submitted a 62-page motion to the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York. They seek to overturn his July 2 convictions on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, according to Good Morning America. The filing asserts that the federal Mann Act was misapplied because there was no evidence of coercion or a commercial motive. Instead, they argue the encounters were consensual and part of a “swingers’ lifestyle” involving adult participants.
“At minimum, a new trial is required,” the filing states, “due to spillover prejudice from evidence that would have been inadmissible had the Mann Act counts been tried alone.”
