Christian ‘King’ Combs Wears Jacket Featuring Kim Porter’s Face in Bold Post-Diddy Trial Statement
In the aftermath of hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ split verdict, Christian “King” Combs stepped into the spotlight with gratitude and relief. Jurors cleared Diddy of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. King joined family members outside the Manhattan courthouse, emotionally proclaiming, “We love y’all … I’m so happy my pops is coming home.” Now, he’s making an even bigger statement post-trial by wearing a jacket of his mother, Kim Porter. Here’s what to know.
Christian ‘King’ Combs posted photos of himself wearing a custom jacket with Kim Porter’s face on it
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ kids were relieved that the jury let him off the hook for the two most severe charges in his federal trial. While Diddy was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, he was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. In response, Christian “King” Combs cheered. “First thing I’m gonna do is hug my Pops!” he announced after the verdict, according to DailyMail.com.
During the trial, King didn’t stay out of the spotlight. He recently collaborated with Kanye “Ye” West on his new EP, Never Stop. The EP features the emotional tribute track, “Diddy Free.”
Now, King has a new jacket that’s causing a stir. On July 9, 2025, he posted photos of himself wearing a zip-up collared coat with the late Kim Porter’s face on the front. IEMBE created the custom clothing piece, and the luxury brand used an old photo of Porter to create the image. “KIM,” King captioned the Instagram post, along with prayer hands. He added the hashtag, “ForeverKp.”
“It was a pleasure designing this jacket for you,” IEMBE commented. “Your personal angel — everywhere you go. Long live KP.”
Fans have mixed reactions to Christian ‘King’ Combs’ jacket
Christian “King” Combs’ jacket of Kim Porter’s face caused quite a stir on his Instagram, especially in the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial. Porter tragically passed away on Nov. 15, 2018, at the age of 47. The mother of four was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles home after reportedly battling flu-like symptoms for several days. The official cause of death was later determined to be lobar pneumonia, a sudden and severe lung infection.
Unfortunately, Diddy’s trial reignited rumors surrounding Porter’s death, as many suspected foul play on Diddy’s part.
“Side eye. Justice for Kim & Aaliyah,” one fan commented, referring to the death of Aaliyah Dana Haughton.
“First thing i would do is cut of my father, including his name, in honor of her,” another fan wrote.
Al B. Sure! doesn’t believe Kim Porter died of pneumonia
Before Kim Porter became widely known for her longtime relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, she shared a deeply personal and high-profile chapter with R&B singer Al B. Sure!. The two began dating in the late 1980s, during the height of Al B. Sure!’s music career, and together they welcomed a son, Quincy Brown, in 1991. Following Kim’s sudden death in 2018, Al B. Sure! publicly expressed heartbreak and raised eyebrows with emotional posts suggesting there may have been more to her passing than initially reported.
On May 9, 2025, Al B. Sure! spoke on Fox 5 NY’s Good Day New York about his upcoming memoir. And he mentioned how he doesn’t believe she died of pneumonia.
“She was in the best health,” he said. “We just saw each other prior to her passing. We were actually celebrating our son’s new Netflix Christmas special. She was doing just fine. In fact, we were all at the event together at Netflix in the lobby, Sean [Combs], myself, the children, you know, having a great time.”
