Cynthia Erivo channeled her character Elphaba in a stunning custom gown at the New York premiere of Wicked: For Good on Monday.

Erivo posed for photos at the November 17 event at the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. She arrived at the star-studded screening in a dramatic all-black ensemble by Balenciaga that was certainly worthy of the Wicked Witch of the West. The gown featured a turtleneck, feathered cape, and a drop waist with a full skirt. She accessorized with a large black sunglasses that resembled a mask.

“She’s a Real Witch in Custom @balenciaga by @pppiccioli,” Erivo’s stylist Jason Bolden wrote on Instagram.

Erivo let her outfit speak for herself at the premiere. She did not take questions from reporters because she was feeling under the weather.

“Cynthia is not feeling well and has lost her voice, therefore she and Ariana [Grande] will not be doing interviews this evening,” a representative for Erivo told Variety. (Grande did speak with E! News).

Grande’s look for the Wicked: For Good premiere also referenced her character, Glinda. She wore a strapless dress by Schiaparelli Haute Couture  with a black bodice and a full tulle skirt in light pink.

Wicked: For Good opens in theaters on November 21.
