According to one former pal, Aysia Collins, D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, was confronted about Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s age, but he lied and showed fake “proof” that the 14-year-old was a legal adult.

Aysia Collins used to be a part of D4vd’s inner circle. Her appearance is eerily similar to that of the teenager D4vd is accused of killing. She looks so similar to the slain teen that online sleuths spent months questioning her connection to the case. Now, Collins is speaking out, and she’s clearing up how D4vd was able to groom a teen girl in full sight of his friends. She says D4vd lied.
In a social media upload obtained by TMZ, Collins says she confronted D4vd after seeing a missing person’s flyer indicating Rivas Hernandez was a minor. She said D4vd lied to her, insisting the teen he called his “girlfriend” was actually 19 years old. When Collins pushed back and demanded evidence, she says he provided documentation appearing to support that claim. Collins didn’t provide details on what that evidence may have been, but Celeste Rivas Hernandez was outfitted with a fake ID, according to reports. After he presented the proof, Collins said she decided to stop pressing the issue.
This is not the first time Collins has spoken out about the case. Last month she took to social media to tell the world she believes her former pal is a “psychopath” who had deceived everyone and let everyone down. Those comments came after she found herself at the center of scrutiny, along with other friends D4vd kept close during the time he was allegedly sexually abusing Rivas Hernandez.

Aysia Collins’ account of D4vd’s life fits with what other former friends have said about the singer and TikToker. Multiple friends in D4vd’s music circle reportedly believed Rivas Hernandez was a 19-year-old college student. Months before D4vd was arrested, one friend claimed he was told Rivas Hernandez was attending the University of Southern California.
Court records suggest that friends had no reason to believe Rivas Hernandez was under the age of 18 because she had documentation suggesting she was a legal adult. According to court documents, Rivas Hernandez was in possession of multiple fake IDs while she spent time with D4vd and his circle. The documentation appears to have been used to give the teen access to age-restricted events, like concerts.
D4vd is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility while he awaits trial. His preliminary hearing begins on July 21.
