From the moment the remains of a teenage girl were found inside the front trunk of D4vd’s Tesla while he was on tour, online sleuths have been speculating about the case and who was to blame for what happened to the victim, Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Now that the singer has been arrested, attention has shifted to his social circle, and internet detectives have made some wild accusations about his former friend, Aysia Collins. While she’s remained mostly quiet, she’s now speaking out, and she wants everyone to know she’s no longer friends with D4vd, insisting she sees him as a “psychopath” who lied to and betrayed everyone.

Aysia Collins shared her thoughts on D4vd on Instagram

Aysia Collins, a former friend of D4vd, has remained mostly quiet in the wake of the investigation against him and his eventual arrest. Now, she’s speaking out. On June 18, Collins took to Instagram to address comments people online are making about her, claiming she’s “cosplaying” D4vd’s victim.

In a lengthy Instagram statement, Collins urged people to think carefully before speaking about Rivas’s death, calling it far too serious for careless commentary. She went on to reject claims that she’s mocking Celeste and “cosplaying” the victim, noting that their shared skin tone and hair texture is merely a coincidence. The story has since expired, but TMZ has published screenshots.

Once that was out of the way, she addressed her relationship with D4vd directly. She let everyone know they are not in contact and are no longer friends. She went on to say that he was a “psychopath” who “betrayed everyone around him.”

D4vd’s friends believed Celeste was a college student

Aysia Collins popped up in connection with the case when online sleuths, who had pinned Rivas Hernandez’s death on D4vd months before his arrest, noticed their online connection and the resemblance between the alleged victim and Collins.

Collins has only spoken out about the case a few times, with one of her most prominent messages coming by way of a Reddit comment. A comment posted by a user claiming to be Collins alleged she was receiving a barrage of online threats because of her former association with D4vd.

She, like several other close friends, stepped back from the singer as soon as police began investigating the teen’s death. Some online sleuths have questioned whether D4vd’s friends knew that Rivas Hernandez, whom prosecutors allege D4vd sexually abused for months before her death, was only 14. According to TMZ, several friends of the singer have said they believed Celeste was a 19-year-old college student and had no idea she was underage.
