All eyes have been on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for weeks as their rumored wedding date draws near. While we don’t know the exact day they will say “I do,” there is a lot of speculation that the big event could happen within the next couple of weeks. And while fans are split between different theories, one of Taylor’s exes is busy planning his own walk down the aisle, and it looks like that day could fall pretty close to Travis and Taylor’s. In fact, rumor has it that Matty Healy and his fiancée, Gabbriette, have planned a July wedding. July 5th has been mentioned as a theory.

Matty Healy and Gabbriette have been engaged for about a year longer than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but it looks like their wedding could take place around the same time. Gabbriette and Healy announced their engagement in June 2024 after a Charli XCX concert.

While the duo has remained relatively private about their life together, his mother has not. Denise Welch, best known for her work on Loose Women, confirmed during a podcast appearance that her son is planning to tie the knot in July. She has previously praised her son and his fiancée while very clearly shading Taylor Swift, despite the ever-so-brief nature of Swift and Healy’s actual romance.

According to insiders, Healy and Gabbriette are expected to tie the knot in California. A venue hasn’t been announced, but it’s assumed they’ll wed close to Healy’s Los Angeles base. The couple is known for their edgy, unconventional style. Their wedding is expected to bring that same energy rather than follow traditional norms.

It feels almost illegal not to mention Swift and Kelce’s wedding when discussing Matty Healy and Gabbriette’s planned march down the aisle. While they clearly didn’t plan it this way, the former flames are likely to be getting married within weeks of each other, to the people they dated immediately after they were briefly an item.

Healy and Swift’s relationship was (officially) short-lived, lasting just a few weeks in 2023, after Swift split from actor Joe Alwyn. After Swift and Healy stopped seeing each other, he moved on immediately with Gabbriette. Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department is rumored to reference the brief interlude. Despite some hard feelings, it seems she eventually fell for Travis Kelce. Their relationship kicked off after he revealed he had hoped to slip her his number at her concert at Arrowhead Stadium.

While we can’t ignore the timeline of events and when these weddings are expected to kick off, we do know that it appears the ceremonies will be happening on opposite sides of the country. Swift’s celebration is widely expected to be an East Coast affair, with the latest reports pointing to New York City. Healy’s wedding is expected to take place in California. While it likely won’t happen, we can’t help but wonder if the former flames might end up getting married on the same day. That would be wild.
