A royal reunion is in the works.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the U.K. for the first time as a couple as couple since Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022. They will be bringing their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with them, setting the stage for a long-awaited reunion with their grandfather, King Charles III.

Charles is said to be “overjoyed” at the prospect of seeing his grandchildren, according to The Sun. While details of the highly anticipated meeting are scarce, it’s thought that Meghan, Harry, and the kids will stay at a royal palace during the July visit, possibly even Buckingham Palace. Those accommodations should help ease Harry’s security fears, which he’s repeatedly cited as the reason why his family cannot visit their royal relatives in the U.K.

As of now, it’s not clear if Meghan will be present when Archie and Lilibet spend time with their grandfather. But according to royal gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Meghan has different goals for the visit than her husband. She sees the visit as a chance to begin rehabilitating her image with the British public.

“This is the start of what friends jokingly call ‘Operation Meghan,’” a source close to the couple told Shuter, who pens the Naughty But Nice Substack. “The family trip isn’t just a visit—it’s the beginning of a carefully considered effort to reconnect.”

“Harry’s focus is his family and moving forward,” an insider explained. “Meghan sees unfinished business. She believes there’s still an opportunity to write a different ending.”

“Meghan has always believed in herself,” a source said. “If anyone can pull off a comeback, she thinks it’s her.”
