Kyle Cooke is sorry if he made you panic.

On Thursday, the Summer House star took to Instagram to reflect on a very dramatic season 10, which wrapped up on June 16 with a special bonus episode focusing on the fallout from Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s affair. In the update, Kyle – who has been a key part of Summer House since it premiered in 2017 – made it sound like his time on the Bravo series had come to an end.

“I can’t tell how hard it was to muster up a smile in this photo with my producers,” he wrote in the caption. “Per usual I was the last to leave the house when we wrapped because I lug so much gear out. But this year was different. 10 seasons in the books. A new show on the way. And a heartbreaking way to end one helluva run. I’m tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut wrenching way to leave this house for good.”

Summer House viewers promptly lost it, assuming that Kyle was announcing his Summer House exit – and possibly the end of the show.

“Wait wait is Summer House done for good? or is just Kyle leaving?” one person asked.

Summer House is just not it without you. Go take a nap and come back,” another person replied.

Kyle’s phone ‘blew up’ after his post, but he’s not leaving ‘Summer House’

Kyle quickly posted an edit to his post, clarifying that he was not leaving Summer House

“EDIT! End of Season 10 and a decade of filming this show as I know it,” he wrote. “The show isn’t cancelled and this is not me announcing I won’t return. I was feeling emo and always planned sharing the cover photo because it DID feel like the end of an era, which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!”

He also shared a video on his Instagram Story apologizing for the furor his post caused.

“My phone just literally blew up with the amount of texts and phone calls I got,” he said. “I’m sorry I misled people. Summer House is not over. The cast decisions have yet to be made. I’m just still feeling all the emotions from last summer.”

“It’s the end of a decade and it’s the end of the show as I know it. Because I spent the last 10 years in a relationship while filming,” he added, referring to his marriage to Amanda. The pair announced their split in early 2026, shortly before her relationship with Kyle’s former friend West was revealed. (West will not be back for Summer House Season 11.)

“I’m sorry to have caused the internet to have a mental breakdown,” he said. “Sorry.”

Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
