Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Mary J. Blige are frequent collaborators, working on everything from music to hit TV shows to sharing the stage at the Super Bowl. But there’s been chatter that the two are feuding now.

Blige has been in the headlines after she began her Las Vegas residency at Park MGM, while 50 is often in the news for roasting, trolling, or beefing with another public figure. But with Blige, the rapper always appeared to have nothing but respect for the “Real Love” singer. She even starred as Monet Tejada on the 50-produced Starz series Power Book II: Ghost.

However, the internet recently picked up on some comments 50 supposedly made about the Queen of R&B, which has people wondering if the two are feuding over that.

Viral internet comments about Blige’s bikini body

The old comments began circulating online again, claiming that when Blige posted bikini photos from her birthday vacation, 50 Cent playfully teased her by making a comparison between her body and “burnt beef jerky.”

Some netizens were very unhappy about that remark and figured Blige would be too, predicting there was or is a massive feud between them.

There is also a theory that the two may be beefing due to 50’s highly publicized disdain for Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Blige’s history with the disgraced hip-hop mogul. Rumors have circulated that the “21 Questions” rapper even sent “warnings” to Blige regarding her association with Diddy. However, those rumors were never confirmed either.

Blige made her feelings about 50 perfectly clear

But for anyone who is unsure of what to believe, the “Be Without You” hitmaker has made her feelings about 50 quite clear.

Blige publicly praised the “In Da Club” artist just a few months back on an episode of Big Boy’s Neighborhood. She said 50 is a “great boss” and explained that he “always blesses us with jobs” and helped secure her high salary of roughly $400,000 per episode of Ghost. As an executive producer on the Power franchise, 50 Cent advocated heavily to ensure that the network compensated top-tier talent properly.

Blige noted that while the public often focuses on his aggressive or “bully” persona, those who look past the surface will find a man who is kind, smart, and deeply vulnerable, as she recalled what 50 was like when he appeared on her short-lived talk show The Wine Down.

“He opened up so much,” the songstress recalled. “He was so soft and inviting, and he told so much truth. And not that he would ever lie. What I’m saying is he was very vulnerable … He is a beautiful person.”

While 50 has had beef with plenty of male artists in the industry, including Ja Rule, Fat Joe, The Game, and T.I. His relationship with Blige has been solid for many years, beginning in 2009 when 50 produced her album, Stronger with Each Tear.

And their friendship continues to this day, which was evident when 50 joined her onstage at one of her Vegas residency shows in May.
