Tyga Spent an Eye-Popping Amount on Engagement Ring for His Partner, Madelaine Petsch
Rumors are swirling that Tyga and Madelaine Petsch are engaged after she was spotted wearing a large diamond on that finger.
The rapper and Riverdale actress sparked dating rumors in February 2025. Then in March of that year, the pair went public when they stepped out together for Vanity Fair and Instagram’s Vanities Party and were later seen walking arm in arm as they left Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
Now, Petsch’s ring is sparking buzz that they’ve taken their relationship to the next level and Tyga spent a pretty penny on his lady’s rock.
Brett Afshar, founder of the award-winning jewelers Queensmith, shared details about the ring Petrch is sporting now, including how much it’s worth.
“Madeline’s ring looks to be a 5-carat pear-cut diamond on a thin platinum band,” Afshar shared. “If natural, a diamond of this size would likely be valued in the region of $264,360. If lab-grown, the cost would be significantly lower, around $7,930 – $9252.”
He added, “Ultra-thin bands paired with large diamonds can create durability concerns over time, particularly with elongated cuts such as pears. For larger diamonds, especially shapes with pointed tips like pear cuts, we’d generally avoid going too thin … Thin bands are more vulnerable to warping through everyday wear, and once a band shifts shape, the setting can loosen.
“A large diamond is naturally going to catch on clothing, bags, and surfaces from time to time, which puts repeated pressure on the ring structure. Of course, celebrities may have the benefit of extensive insurance and access to repairs or replacements.”
Before Petsch, Tyga was briefly married to model Jordan Craig, but they divorced in 2010. He dated Kylie Jenner on and off for three years, and was linked to Avril Lavigne before they split in 2023.
