West Wilson Out for ‘Summer House’ Season 11 — Is Amanda Batula Next?
West Wilson has been evicted from Summer House.
The sports journalist is exiting the Bravo show after three seasons, TMZ reports. Season 11 of the reality series is set to begin filming over the July 4 weekend.
West Wilson’s scandalous relationship with Amanda Batula
West joined the Summer House cast in season 8. He had an on-again, off-again romance with co-star Ciara Miller. But it’s his new romance with another Summer House star – Amanda Batula – that has had him in the headlines in recent months.
In Summer House Season 10, West and Ciara seemed to be on the verge of rekindling their relationship. But everything changed in late March, when West and Amanda (who had recently separated from her husband Kyle Cooke) took to social media to confirm the rumors that they were in a relationship.
West and Amanda’s scandalous romance – and its questionable timeline – was a major point of discussion at the recent Summer House Season 10 reunion. It will also be the focus on the upcoming bonus episode Summer House: The Aftermath, which airs June 16 on Bravo. Meanwhile, Amanda and Kyle are currently appearing on the new spinoff series, In the City, which was filmed before they announced their split and Amanda and West went public with their relationship.
Will Amanda leave ‘Summer House’?
While West is reportedly not part of the season 11 cast, he hasn’t completely cut ties with the show. The door is open for him to make a cameo in future episodes, a source told TMZ. As for Amanda’s future on Summer House, that isn’t clear. But as of now, there are no reports that she’s leaving the show. However, some fans wouldn’t mind if she also left the show.
“Take Amanda with you,” one person commented on TMZ’s Instagram.
“Amanda won’t be back without her side kick,” another wrote.
Others suspect that Amanda and West’s romance is already over.
“This was all scripted with the fake scandal,” one person commented. “Next he and Amanda will ‘break up’. They are all doing anything to stay in the headlines.”
Others feared that without West and his drama, Summer House would suffer.
“They have to be careful,” a fan wrote. “Look at what’s happened to The Valley without Jax [Taylor], it got very boring! Who’s going to be the show’s villain?”
But some viewers weren’t sorry to see West go, especially after his nearly-mute appearance at the season 10 reunion. More recently, he publicly stated that he hoped the NBA finals would go to game six, which would have aired Tuesday night, so that no one would watch The Aftermath.
“It’s funny because this would’ve been a golden opportunity for him to return,” one Redditor wrote. “They’re not firing him for morality, they’re firing him for being an inarticulate bumbling weirdo. If you’re going to do something polarizing on reality TV, you have to speak on it. Pick a lane and defend it.”
Summer House: The Aftermath airs Tuesday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. All episodes of Summer House Season 10 are streaming on Peacock.
