‘Summer House’ Reunion Audio Leak a ‘Violation,’ Andy Cohen Says

In late March, the Summer House stars confirmed that they were dating after rumors began to circulate that they’d been hooking up. The announcement shook the show’s cast to its core. In leaked audio from the upcoming season 10 reunion, Ciara Miller – who’d previously dated West – called her former friend Amanda “a f*cking snake” for going after someone she’d once been involved with. Meanwhile, Amanda’s estranged husband Kyle Cooke has called her relationship with his one-time friend West a “wild betrayal.” In short, it’s messy.

Now, it sounds like some of that messiness will be on display in the first season of the Summer House spinoff In the City. Most of In the City, which follows various Summer House stars and their friends in New York City, filmed last fall, before Amanda and West’s affair became public knowledge. And based on the trailer, much of drama in season 1 will revolve around the breakdown of Amanda and Kyle’s troubled marriage. But after Amanda and West went public, Bravo picked up the cameras again to capture some of the fallout.

In the City, which launches in a couple of weeks — you’ll see in the first episode we have a new scene that we shot with a couple of the cast members,” Frances Berwick, NBCUniversal’s Chairman, Bravo & Peacock Unscripted, recently told The Ankler. “So, we did pick it up there, but we just didn’t feel like that was the right thing to do on Summer House.”

The decision to shift coverage of Amanda and West’s relationship to In the City came from wanting to protect “the emotional well-being of the cast members,” Berwick said, adding that they didn’t “think that was right” to film for Summer House immediately after the scandal.

“We did take a beat before we covered that. And that was obviously in the reunion last week; as everyone now knows, we taped the reunion last week,” she said.

Kyle Cooke says West Wilson threw their friendship away ‘in one swoop’

While Bravo says its using a light touch when it comes to handling the Amanda-West issue, emotions among Summer House cast members are clearly running high. And it sounds like there could be more major revelations to come.

“I’ve seen rumors, I’ve seen blinds, and I’ve had DM that say it dates back to June,” Kyle said in a recent TikTok interview (via Cosmopolitan) when discussing the timeline of West and Amanda’s relationship. (Kyle and Amanda announced their separation in early 2026.)

Kyle also accused West of maneuvering to step in as Amanda and Kyle’s marriage started to fray.

He “positioned himself very conveniently to be this knight in shining armor for women, standing up for Amanda, checking me,” Kyle said.

“I watch that, and for him to say what he said in his confessional, and double down on Watch What Happens, I was like…something’s up,” he added. “He basically threw his friendship away with me in one swoop. And that’s when the wheels started turning in terms of, wait a minute, all these rumors.”

In the City premieres May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, immediately after the Summer House Season 10 finale. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
