Andy Cohen is speaking out about Summer House reunion audio leak, calling it “a violation.”

Last week, a recording of a heated exchange between Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula during the season 10 reunion surfaced on social media shortly after filming. Cohen quickly denounced the leak, writing on Threads that it was “disgusting and illegal.”

Cohen spoke about the leak in more detail on the April 27 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live

“When I tell you that I was mad. It felt like a violation,” he told co-host John Hill.

“I was gonna say betrayal, but a violation and a violation, and I just thought, ‘Wow, here this cast, they all showed up and they all laid themselves totally barren,’ and just a leak,” he continued. “It just totally demeans the work of this crew and this cast and especially again, just all of them for just showing up and sitting there and taking it.”

The leak put Cohen – who was heading into an appointment for eye surgery when he found out about it – “in a foul mood.”

He immediately reached out to Bravo, who assured him that they were looking into who was responsible. On Monday, Cohen said they’ve already “cracked the case” and discovered the leaker’s identity. In a post on Instagram, the network confirmed that the “unauthorized recording” was “distributed by an individual involved in the production of the reunion.”

“Appropriate action has been taken,” the statement continued. “There is no evidence that any member of the cast was involved in the recording of the audio.”

Leaks ‘ruin the integrity of the show,’ Bravo host says

In the recording, Ciara goes after her former friend Amanda for her affair with West Wilson, calling her “a snake in the f*cking grass” for getting involved with a man she’d previously dated.

“There are a million other f*cking guys in New York City and … you chose the one guy,” Ciara said.

Fans immediately began to speculate about who might have been the source of the audio. Some suspected a cast member was responsible, or even the network itself.

“There were these hot takes blaming the cast, which I knew immediately [was not the case],” Cohen said. “I was like, ‘The cast did not leak this.’ They’re like, ‘Oh, the cast leaked it. Bravo leaked it.’ Just dumb takes and reasons why they would’ve leaked it. To get a better edit, to get a worse edit, to protect themselves, to combat others. I was like, ‘This is stupid.’”

Cohen added that there might be additional illicit recordings from the upcoming reunion that haven’t been released. He hopes those don’t get out, arguing that releasing details prior to the episode airing isn’t fair to the cast or fans.

“It ruins the integrity of the show and all the hard work of the cast who we love and we love this show,” he said.
