Andy Cohen Admitted a Lot Was Cut From the ‘Summer House’ Reunion: What Fans Didn’t See
The explosive Summer House reunion saw the cast taking Amanda Batula and West Wilson to task for their relationship. They dug into the timeline of their romance and defended Ciara Miller, who was a good friend of Batula’s and Wilson’s former partner. Andy Cohen said that there was a great deal that fans of the show didn’t see. He believes that the reunion should have been even longer than it was.
Andy Cohen said there was more to the ‘Summer House’ reunion than what people saw
The Summer House season ten reunion stretched across three episodes. While they discussed many of the season’s events, Cohen admitted that there was a decent amount of discussion topics that didn’t make it to the final version of the reunion. He believed that the show needed an even longer reunion in order to cover everything.
“I was surprised part three wasn’t supersized,” he said, per TV Show Ace. “If I had been producing it, I would’ve added [it] supersized.”
He noted that they discussed footage of Batula visiting Wilson’s apartment.
“You’re bringing up stuff that is interesting and that I would’ve wanted to hear about too,” he said. “Yes, we talked about it.”
He also said they discussed how former cast member Paige DeSorbo reacted to news of the relationship between Batula and Wilson. As they shot for close to 12 hours, they were able to cover a lot of ground.
Andy Cohen said the ‘Summer House’ reunion was one of the most intense he has experienced
After the reunion, Cohen said that this was one of the most difficult reunions he’s ever filmed in his many years on Bravo.
“Well, I am walking out of the Summer House reunion. I’ve probably hosted, well it’s over 100 reunions, maybe 150, something like that,” he said. “This was maybe one of the most intense we’ve ever shot.”
He confirmed that they went through every question that fans might have had about the relationship.
“This was a lot. This was a lot. It was very intense, you guys,” he said. “And every question was asked. Every question was asked.”
There will be one more episode of ‘Summer House’ season 10
While fans won’t be able to see every question asked at the reunion, they will have a chance to view the aftermath. This episode will feature conversations between Batula and Lindsay Hubbard; Kyle Cooke and Wilson; and Miller and Wilson’s ex-girlfriend, Meija Moreno. These conversations took place after the reunion.
Summer House: The Aftermath airs Tuesday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. It will be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
