According to Kyle Cooke, this season’s Summer House reunion was brutal for his ex, Amanda Batula. Batula and castmate West Wilson recently announced that they were in a relationship, prompting harsh backlash from fans. Wilson previously dated Ciara Miller, a close friend of Batula’s. Cooke has defended Batula from the backlash, but he has slammed Wilson.

Kyle Cooke said West Wilson had no integrity at the ‘Summer House’ reunion

Just weeks before the cast of Summer House met for the reunion, Batula and Wilson announced that they are romantically involved. Wilson’s former involvement with Miller and Batula’s close friendship with her led to many fans expressing disappointment in the new couple.

Members of the cast have also expressed disappointment in Batula and Wilson. During the 10-hour reunion, they reportedly laid into them. Audio of the reunion leaked, leading some fans to point out that Wilson didn’t seem to be defending Batula at all against the backlash. Cooke confirmed that he hadn’t.

“He’s all PR and zero intention or integrity,” he wrote on Threads. “The reunion was a brutal beat down and I can’t recall a moment when he had Amanda’s back.”

The Summer House season 10 reunion will air on May 26 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Andy Cohen said the ‘Summer House’ reunion was very emotional

Andy Cohen has hosted many Bravo reunions over the years. He said that this was one of the most intense.

“I have to say it was truly not only one of the most emotional reunions that we’ve ever shot, but it was one of the most emotionally draining,” he said on his Radio Andy SiriusXM show. “There were so many emotions on that stage. Deep anger, deep hurt.”

He said he didn’t realize how much the situation impacted the cast until they began filming the reunion.

“This situation has truly sent shockwaves through this group in ways that even I didn’t realize until I sat there looking in the faces and hearing from some of these housemates,” he said. “It was very intense.”

Kyle Cooke defended Amanda Batula, but not West Wilson

While Cooke and Batula are no longer together, he has spoken up in support of his ex-wife. While he said he doesn’t support the relationship, he wants people to stop criticizing her.

“I’m obviously frustrated,” Cooke said in a TikTok video. “I’m obviously disappointed in her, but just hearing her and how unwell she is — [having] dark thoughts — I just ask people to maybe let off the gas a little bit with the cyberbullying and hate.”

He has not been as supportive of Wilson. He noted that his castmate sent him “some half-a**ed text message” after the news broke. Cooke encouraged people not to support him while expressing disappointment in Batula.

“Amanda deals with mental health issues,” he said. “Before cyber-bullying her and then giving West a follow, maybe think twice.”
