Taylor Swift Has Been Flying Solo All Week: Where Is Travis Kelce?
Taylor Swift might like her privacy most of the time, but every so often, she has a very public week, filled with friends and outings. The last week or so has been one of those periods. While Taylor traversed the coasts, capping one night in New York City courtside for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Travis Kelce was nowhere to be found. So why is Taylor flying solo in the lead-up to her rumored wedding day? Apparently, Travis is a little busy back in Kansas City.
Where has Taylor Swift been spotted this week?
Taylor Swift has been busy with business and pleasure over the last week or so. She kicked off the week in Los Angeles on Tuesday, appearing at the world premiere of Toy Story 5. While Travis Kelce seems to enjoy such events, he did not join her on the red carpet. Still, he celebrated her contribution from afar.
The following evening, she made her way to New York City, where she sat courtside at Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Swift and her pals, Este and Alana Haim, came prepared for the show in matching custom outfits. Swift enjoyed the evening, interacting with plenty of other celebrities, but once again, Travis Kelce was decidedly absent.
Where was Travis Kelce?
While Taylor Swift was working the Garden, Kelce was several states away, taking care of business. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end sat out Swift’s bicoastal journey so that he could attend to some mandatory football obligations. According to several sources, the Chiefs were hosting a mandatory minicamp from June 9 through June 11. The timing made it impossible for him to join his fiancée on her trip.
While Travis wasn’t there physically, he was clearly keeping tabs on his future wife’s big night. According to People, Kelce’s Instagram account, @killatrav, was spotted “hearting” photos and videos of Swift at the game. He’s no stranger to courtside dates with her, either; last month the pair took in a Knicks-Cavaliers game together, where Kelce, who grew up just outside Cleveland, rooted for his hometown team.
What about that wedding rumor?
While Travis Kelce has been busy in Kansas City and Taylor Swift has been bouncing between Los Angeles and New York, the rumor mill has been working overtime. There is plenty of speculation that the couple will tie the knot very soon, with a reported July 3 date emerging as the most-discussed theory.
Several spots have been floated as potential venues, but the latest rumors place the wedding at Madison Square Garden. There’s no confirmation from the couple, but it would be a fittingly grand and unique choice. We don’t yet know whether the big day will actually go down at the famed arena, but we can say Swift looked awfully at home there. The real question is whether Travis would feel the same way.
