Taylor Swift’s Friends Say 1 Wedding Rumor Sounds More Like Something the Kardashians Would Do
Taylor Swift’s wedding is reportedly taking place this July in Manhattan. According to some sources, Swift and Travis Kelce are planning to tie the knot at Madison Square Garden. While many outlets have reported that they are planning a massive wedding at the venue, others claim that this doesn’t sound like something Swift would do.
Taylor Swift is rumored to be having her wedding at Madison Square Garden
A number of sources have reported that Swift’s wedding will take place at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. While they have leaked this information, Swift and Kelce are trying to keep things quiet.
“Everyone’s been sworn to secrecy,” one source told Page Six.
The source added that “privacy was of number one importance to them both,” and Madison Square Garden will have solid security. While it’s not the most picturesque venue, the source said that “if you have billions you can transform the space into a wedding venue.”
Despite this, reports have shared a variety of locations where the couple could be having their wedding.
Taylor Swift’s friends say they doubt she will have her wedding at Madison Square Garden
Swift has not confirmed anything, and those close to her reportedly have doubts about this rumor.
“This doesn’t sound like Taylor,” one source said, per Reality Tea. “It sounds like something the Kardashians would do.”
As Swift has very publicly feuded with Kim Kardashian, she likely doesn’t want a wedding that feels similar to hers.
“Taylor has always used her personal life in her work,” another source said. “But that’s very different from getting married at one of the most famous venues in the world.”
The source added that a Madison Square Garden wedding is evocative of Swift’s Eras Tour.
“A wedding at Madison Square Garden feels like a production,” a source said. “Not a wedding.”
She is working hard to keep details secret
Because of Swift’s level of fame, she has had to work very hard to keep the details of her wedding under wraps. Media outlets and her fans are hungry for information.
“Everyone’s going to want to know what it would be like to be a front row attendee at this wedding,” celebrity wedding planner Colin Cowie told CNN. “It’s going to be a massive undertaking to keep this under locks.”
Cowie noted that the couple could employ a variety of tactics, including a decoy location, to avoid attention on their big day.
“Cloak and dagger,” he said. “All of it is cloak and dagger.”
