Timothée Chalamet Didn’t Seem to Remember Kylie Jenner Was With Him at the Knicks Game, Said Body Language Expert
Timothée Chalamet, a lifelong Knicks fan, has been courtside at many of their games this season. Chalamet has become one of the team’s most visible fans, and he recently celebrated their Game Four win. His girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, watched with him. While she paid close attention to Chalamet during the game, a body language expert said he seemed so into it that he forgot her presence.
Timothée Chalamet was locked in on the Knicks game
The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs by one point in a thrilling comeback. Chalamet celebrated vigorously.
“At the moment of victory, Chalamet is fully there for the Knicks,” said celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca. “He’s standing proudly on the line, squatting a bit, legs as wide as they’ll go, arms moving broadly, taking up space and facing the court.”
While he was there with Jenner, Honigman noted that he didn’t pay any attention to her.
“He feels joyful and excited, proud and thrilled,” she said. “His wide legs show confidence and security, creating a wide base that nobody can knock over, and all this time he is not turning towards Kylie even a little bit. He may not even remember that she is there. His entire focus is on the win and his team.”
Timothée Chalamet is a massive Knicks fan
Chalamet grew up within walking distance of Madison Square Garden. He has been a lifelong fan of the team.
“My whole life, my grandma was a huge Knicks fan, so that’s what turned me on to them,” Chalamet told the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast. “If you live in New York, you are a Knicks fan. My grandma had a New York Giants teddy bear and a New York Jets teddy bear, but she only had a New York Knicks teddy bear. … That’s what made me a fan and I went to as many games when I could afford a ticket growing up.”
Another lifelong fan, Ben Stiller, said he sees Chalamet as a true supporter of the team.
“He’s the real deal,” Stiller told The Howard Stern Show. “…I’ve sat with him, I don’t know him that well, but this year we sat at a bunch of games. He reminds me of my level of just, he lives it, he feels it. He really is experiencing it inside … but there are others who don’t.”
Kylie Jenner was happy to watch her boyfriend celebrate
Jenner, who grew up in California, has supported the Knicks alongside Chalamet. According to Honigman, though, she seemed happier for her boyfriend than for the team.
“Kylie is happy, she’s enthusiastic, and is bounding with joy. Her happiness is expressed in her large moves, but it’s not the Knicks that she’s happy for,” Honigman explained. “When she bounces towards Timothée to embrace him in congratulations, he’s happy to have her support, he accepts her and embraces her, but keeps facing the court, his eyes are not on Kylie, he doesn’t mind whether she’s there or not.”
Still, Honigman noted that Jenner didn’t seem to mind taking a back seat and supporting Chalamet as he celebrated.
