Kylie Jenner May Be Reversing the ‘Kardashian Kurse’ by Attending New York Knicks Playoff Games With Timothée Chalamet
Over the years, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have dated professional athletes and, therefore, have been in attendance at some big sporting events. When a team loses, though, the siblings get blamed as if their mere presence decided the outcome of the game. That notion has become known as the “Kardashian Kurse.”
But having Kylie Jenner at New York Knicks games with her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, is actually a good thing for the NBA team.
The reason Jenner’s attendance so far is viewed as a positive for the Knicks is because the team is 5-1 in games analyzed where Kylie has been in attendance, giving her an 83.3% courtside win rate and an average winning margin of 13.5 points.
According to data compiled by Casino.org US, the Knicks do not just win when Kylie shows up, they score more too averaging 8.2 more points per game when she has been in attendance.
Moreover, the team averages “117.4 points when Chalamet has been in attendance, 13.6 points more than in other Knicks games analyzed. If Kylie and Timothée both attend the next Knicks home game vs. The [ Cleveland Cavaliers], the model projects the Knicks to score around 116 points, based on how they have performed when both stars have been in attendance.” And when Kylie, Chamalet, and superfan Spike Lee have been in attendance, the Knicks are 5-0, winning by nearly 20 points per game.
But it’s not just the Knicks, the Cavaliers have some celebrities and hometown heroes who some consider the team’s good luck charms. They are Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, and Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, as the Cavs are 4-0 in recent games when they have been in attendance.
On the flip side, there are some stars that almost feel like they carry a bad omen when they are seen at games for the Knicks and Cavs. Jon Stewart and Olympic gymnast Suni Lee are both going 0-2 in Knicks games analyzed when they were in attendance. And Rihanna is Cleveland’s biggest historic warning sign at 0-2 when she is spotted at the team’s games.
As for the supposed “Kardashian Kurse,” it needs to be noted that Lamar Odom did win an NBA championship while he was with Khloé, and Kim was Reggie Bush’s girlfriend when he won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints. And while Kendall ex, Devin Booker, hasn’t hoisted the Larry O’Brien Trophy, he has won a couple of Olympic gold medals for the U.S.
