At a recent event, Amy Schumer opened up about a colonoscopy she had. While she said that she feels better than she has in a long time, Schumer said the colonoscopy did not go as planned. This has left her not feeling her most “sexual.”

Amy Schumer said she had a botched colonoscopy

While Schumer is going through a divorce from her former husband, Chris Fischer, she said she’s in a good place.

“I feel happier than I’ve ever been before,” she told Amanda Hirsch during the “Dear Media by Night” event for Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast (via E! News).

“Does it have to do with being really hot?” Hirsch asked, potentially in reference to Schumer’s recent weight loss.

Schumer admitted that she is not physically feeling her best.

“I actually had kind of a botched colonoscopy, so I’m not feeling very sexual,” she said.

In 2025, Schumer opened up about a recent 50-pound weight loss.

“Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I did it to survive …”

She said that she lost weight to deal with her Cushing syndrome diagnosis. The condition can cause a round face, weight gain, high blood pressure, and bone loss.

“I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” Schumer wrote. “Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight.”

She also opened up about her use of plastic surgery and weight loss drugs.

“I’ve had plastic surgery over the years, and I use Mounjaro. Sorry to anyone [who] feels let down. I’m pain-free. I can [play] tag with my son.”
