New 90 Day Fiancé cast member Debby thinks she’s found the man of her dream in Egyptian actor/tour guide Mido. Her daughter isn’t so sure.

Viewers met Debby in Sunday’s episode of the TLC reality series. The 55-year-old insurance agent from New Orleans fell hard for the 41-year-old during a trip to Egypt with her daughter. But even though Debby is head-over-heels for her younger man, those close to her worry that something about Mido’s story isn’t adding up.

‘90 Day’ star’s daughter thinks her mom’s man is suspect

Debby’s daughter Devyn suspects that Mido is just using her mom as a ticket to the U.S., where he plans to pursue an acting career. And she think his claims that he’s already famous in his home country are B.S. Not only is there little evidence he’s appeared in any acting roles, even his “amateur” headshots are suspect.

“To me, they don’t really scream professional actor headshots, they scream, like, Instagram model,” she said. “He just needs a reality check because I know that there has been a lot of weird sketchiness going on.”

But in Debby’s mind, Mido has a plausible answer for all of her questions.

“Mido is famous,” she explained to a 90 Day producer. “On social media, he’s got hundreds of thousands of followers. People know him in Egypt.” (You can check out Mido’s Instagram profile and judge for yourself.)

Debby has never seen Mido’s alleged acting work

But Debby admits she’s never actually seen her fiancé act.

“Honestly, he doesn’t show me his work,” she continued. “I don’t know why. I’ve asked him to send me like reels of stuff that he’s done, but he says I’m not going to understand what they’re saying.”

“So he keeps telling me, ‘I’ll show you when I arrive and I’ll explain to you what’s going on,’” she added.

But when Mido wants to delay his journey to the U.S., even a “tired” Debby begins to have her doubts. She worried that he was getting “cold feet.”

“At what point do you decide on a journey or on a decision? What’s a test of a commitment and what’s a sign of something that’s just not meant to be?” she wondered, tearfully.

“I’m not sure where to put that anymore,” she added. “I’m really worried that Mido’s not going to get on that flight.”

90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. Episodes stream on HBO Max.
