Diddy Won’t Get Back Seized Camcorder Footage, Devices, or $9,000 in Cash — Feds to Keep It All
Judge Arun Subramanian ordered Sean “Diddy” Combs to a 50-month sentence following the hip-hop mogul’s high-profile trial. While Combs’ legal team notes that they intend to fight the sentence, documents suggest Combs shouldn’t expect to get some of his belongings back. Here’s what to know about his previously seized footage, devices, and cash following his sentencing.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs reportedly agreed to forfeit some of his possessions seized by the feds
According to the New York Post, court papers say that Sean “Diddy” Combs agreed to forfeit some of his possessions that were previously seized. These possessions include cassette tapes, hard drives, thumb drives, iPhones, iPads, and computers. Federal agents seized these items during the March 2024 raids on his homes. Most notably, Combs’ “Ibiza tapes” were seized.
Additionally, the feds reportedly seized $9,000 in cash from the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan. Combs stayed in this hotel before his arrest in September 2024.
All of the items will be given to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Combs was sentenced on Oct. 3, 2025, to 50 months (4 years and 2 months) in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution. The charges stemmed from allegations that he arranged for male escorts to travel interstate to participate in drug-fueled sexual encounters with his ex-girlfriends, which Combs admitted to filming. He was acquitted of the more serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. In addition to the prison term, the court ordered a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.
