Justin Bieber and Sean “Diddy” Combs go way back — so far back that their early relationship has become a source of renewed scrutiny amid the mogul’s trial. When Bieber was just a teenage YouTube sensation on the verge of superstardom, Combs famously took an interest, even vowing in a 2009 MTV interview to “mentor” the rising star. Their bond once seemed playful and aspirational. But it’s now being reexamined under a very different lens. Recently, Combs’ former bodyguard broke his silence regarding Bieber and Combs’ relationship amid Bieber’s tumultuous social media presence in 2025.

In the late 2000s, a teenage Justin Bieber was thrust into the spotlight not just by YouTube fame, but by a high-profile alliance with hip‑hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. A 2009 YouTube video shows 15‑year‑old Bieber whisked away by Combs on a two‑day “48-hour” adventure. In May 2025, Bieber’s name resurfaced in the swirl of Combs’s sex-trafficking trial. Bieber’s camp was quick to clarify: He “is not among Sean Combs’ victims.”

Combs’ former bodyguard, Big Homie CC, spoke on Piers Morgan Uncensored about Bieber in 2025. Piers Morgan and Big Homie commented on Bieber’s chaotic online presence and what may be going on behind the scenes.

“Justin Bieber seems to be a guy under a tremendous amount of pressure right now,” Big Homie CC explained. He recalled meeting Bieber years prior while backstage at one of Bieber’s shows. “He’s like a shell of himself,” Big Homie explained.

“There is a battle of good and evil taking place. And a lot of these people make agreements,” Big Homie continued. “… Why does Bieber seem to be so emotionally unhinged right now, especially when these topics get brought up? You see the shame and the despair in his face. … When you see these entertainers, they do have a brand they have to protect. And any sign of weakness, or partaking in lascivious acts, that could damage their credibility and their fan base. And I feel like some people’s NDAs still haven’t expired.”

Justin Bieber’s representative previously issued a statement about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Amid Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering trial, Justin Bieber’s fans wondered if Bieber would take the stand as a witness. Bieber seemingly never appeared at Combs’ trial. And he never testified under oath. In May 2025, Bieber’s representative issued a statement claiming that Bieber was never harmed by Combs in any way.

“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” the spokesperson stated, according to People.

“Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve,” the statement continued.

Dr. Drew believes the pop star’s recent erratic behavior could have more to do with Hailey Bieber

Justin Bieber fans noticed his odd and erratic social media activity in recent months. Many of his followers initially thought that Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial was the reason behind Bieber’s behavior. However, Dr. Drew believes the pop star might be having trouble in his marriage with Hailey Bieber.

“I have a feeling there’s something going on here personally, like in his romantic life, that may really be making — it’s fueling it and making it hard for him to really get the care he needs to take care of himself,” Drew told TMZ. “He’s not happy with something, and he needs some help. So, I’m sure he’ll find this — at least, fingers crossed.”
