Disney and Hallmark Are Teaming Up for a Christmas Movie: Everything We Know So Far
It’s a match made in holiday heaven! Disney and Hallmark Channel are teaming up for an all-new Christmas movie that will be filmed at Disney World.
Lacey Chabert to star in Hallmark’s first Disney-themed Christmas movie
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True will star Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. It will air as part of 2026’s Countdown to Christmas event. The rest of the cast includes Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Durfee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander, with a special cameo from Patrick Renna.
“I love visiting here with my family and I always thought it would make the absolute perfect setting for a Hallmark Christmas movie,” Chabert said as she announced the new movie in a video filmed in front of Cinderella’s Castle. “We can’t wait for you to see Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True.”
What is ‘Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True’ about?
In the movie, Chabert plays a woman named Lindsey who heads to Walt Disney World for a Christmas vacation with her extended family. But her plans for a magical holiday hit a snag when she discovers that her hotel room is right next door to Philip (Van Winkle), with whom she once had a disastrous first date. Philip’s also at Disney on a family trip, and his and Lindsey’s path cross throughout their stay. Gradually, the frost between them starts to thaw and they realize they’re not so different after all. Now, it might just be possible that Lindsey’s holiday wish at the Cinderella Fountain could turn her rivalry with Philip into a romance.
Later this year, Hallmark will also unveil an exclusive collection of Hallmark and Disney products inspired by the movie, including greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, gift wrap and other unique offerings.
The Hallmark-Disney partnership is a natural one for the brands, which both have roots in Kansas City.
“The history between Hallmark and Disney dates back decades, when a shared Kansas City connection and friendship between Hallmark’s founder, J.C. Hall, and Walt Disney himself led to our first-ever licensed products, including the very first greeting card featuring Mickey Mouse,” said Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott. “We’re thrilled to expand our partnership beyond the products we create together and onto the screen with this heartwarming and joyful Christmas movie that embodies the very best of both brands.”
