On the morning of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing, his children stood as witnesses. In the hushed courtroom, twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs joined siblings Christian, Justin, and others to voice pleas that were as much about their father as about their family’s future. They recounted losses felt by young children who grew up without both parents and urged the judge to weigh mercy against punishment. On the same day as sentencing, Jessie and D’Lila posted a poignant TikTok with emotionally heavy lyrics.

Jessie and D’Lila Combs posted an emotional lip-synch to TikTok on the day of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sentencing

On Oct. 3, 2025, Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution-related activities. The judge imposed a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release. Though Diddy was acquitted of more serious charges, the court heard harrowing testimony about his organization of “freak-off” parties, coercion, and violence. During sentencing, Judge Arun Subramanian emphasized that power and celebrity do not shield abuse from accountability. And he argued that a substantial sentence was necessary to send a deterrent message.

Diddy, who had spent over a year in detention by that point, broke down in court as his children and victims shared emotional statements. Six of his children — Quincy Taylor Brown, 34; Justin Dior Combs, 31; Christian “King” Combs, 27; Chance Combs, 19; and twins, D’Lila and Jessie Combs, 18 — showed their support by arriving in court. They also candidly spoke at the sentencing, asking for grace from the judge.

On the day of sentencing, Jessie and D’Lila posted a poignant TikTok. The twins lip-synched to Nicki Minaj’s 2014 song “Pills N Potions” while wearing matching animal print dresses.

“People’ll love you and support you when it’s beneficial / I’ma forgive, I won’t forget, but I’ma dead the issue / Soon as you out they livin’ lives is when they start to miss you / They see you doin’ good, now it’s kinda hard to diss you / Yeah they be sick when they remember all the bad they wished you,” Jessie and D’Lila lip-synch to the camera.

During Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sentencing, the courtroom fell silent as several of his children stood to speak. D’Lila and Jessie Combs, his 18-year-old twin daughters, spoke tearfully about missing the dad who once cheered them on at fashion shows and graduations. And his son, Christian, shared how the family’s public struggles had tested their strength, but not their love.

In D’Lila’s speech, she referenced the youngest Combs sibling, Love Combs, 2.

“Our 2-year-old sister is asking, ‘Where dad is?’ the same way we grew up motherless,” D’Lila said, according to E! News. “It’s a hole that can’t be filled. We are tired of being strong. We have already lost so much: our mother, our father. Please, give us the chance to heal together and move forward together.”

The judge expressed gratitude following Diddy’s children’s speeches.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyers are considering an appeal

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers told ABC News that they might want to appeal the judge’s decision following sentencing.

“The jury made it very clear in their verdict that they acquitted him of the sex trafficking and the RICO counts,” lead attorney Teny Geragos said. “Not guilty means not guilty. … I can say, from the bottom of my heart, with all the hours that I spent with him getting ready for trial, that he is a changed man.”

Attorney Alexandra Shapiro went on to call the 50-month sentence “totally inconsistent with the jury verdict.”

“The Judge acted as a 13th juror,” Shapiro noted.
