Dude Perfect Dishes on Ruffles Flavor Swap Collaboration — and the Group’s Pickiest Eater [Exclusive]

Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones of Dude Perfect spoke to Showbiz Cheat Sheet about collaborating with PepsiCo Foods' Flavor Swap campaign to create Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles. Here's what they said -- plus, more about their upcoming 2026 tour.

While the Dude Perfect crew is known for their Guinness World Records, incredible trick shots, and hilarious banter, they also love a good snack. The famous sports entertainment and comedy group recently spoke to Showbiz Cheat Sheet about their collaboration with PepsiCo Foods’ Flavor Swap campaign. The campaign boasts chip flavors as bold as Dude Perfect’s expert moves, and the crew loved the combination of Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles. Here’s what they said about their collaboration and who’s the pickiest eater of the bunch.

When the Dude Perfect crew isn’t performing trick shots or gearing up for a new tour, they’re trying out the new PepsiCo Flavor Swap snack lineup. These limited-edition snacks offer even more combinations of  Frito-Lay flavors on different chips in 2026, including Lay’s Sweet Southern Heat Barbecue on Cheetos Crunchy, Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream on Doritos, and Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles.

Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones from Dude Perfect sat down with Showbiz Cheat Sheet to discuss their collaboration with Flavor Swap — the Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles.

“I’m a chip connoisseur,” Hilbert said. “People make fun of me all the time, because it’s like, ‘What do you want to eat?’ If I just had chips, I’d be totally satisfied.”

He then noted that he and the other crew members, including Tyler Toney, Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, and Jones, were always fans of Doritos. With that in mind, this creative chip flavor made perfect sense.

“Dude Perfect is a brand that, I will say, has always done the unexpected, the ‘impossible.’ We thought it’d be fun to do a crazy Flavor Swap with Cool Ranch — it’s one of my favorite chips — on Ruffles,” Hilbert continued, adding that it might seem like a “crazy” combination at first. With the Cool Ranch flavoring on Ruffles, “it’s completely different. It’s really good — bold flavor. I think people are going to love it. We’re very excited about how it turned out. If you like Ruffles or Cool Ranch, you’re going to like these.”

Dude Perfect started in 2009. Five friends and roommates at Texas A&M University started filming their trick shots at home before launching viral online moments. While speaking to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Garrett Hilbert reflected on how the group approaches creativity.

“Our brand lives on what’s next and always trying to come up with something new that’s never been done before that the world has never seen,” he said. “We started 17 years ago doing trick shots and evolved the brand from trick shots all the way to comedy to a variety show. Obviously, taking a little bit of that and throwing it into the snack department just fits our brand.”

He went on to explain why Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles fits their brand. “No one will see it coming,” he noted. “It kind of has that impossible feel to it.”

Hilbert noted that Dude Perfect and Flavor Swaps are the perfect match, as the crew can get as inventive as possible. “I think this might be a mainstay for Flavor Swaps,” he added. “… I think this one might take the cake. We’ll see, though.”

And it seems the Doritos Cool Ranch on Ruffles flavor is awesome enough to satisfy even the pickiest Dude Perfect eaters — twins Coby and Cory.

“The twins are very picky eaters,” Hilbert noted. “It was hard to get them on board to even try a Flavor Swap.”

Dude Perfect is bringing their “Squad Games Tour” to 22 cities during the summer of 2026. While speaking to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, they explained how their tour brings on other athletes and creators to compete in a multisport, 360-degree layout that fans will love.

“We started a brand new video series called Squad Games, where five of us compete with ‘another’ squad,” Garrett Hilbert said. “We had taken on the Savannah Bananas and some other YouTube groups. Basically, we’re going to do a live sports competition at our tour. It’ll be the five of us versus — I don’t want to give names away — but you can expect names, like the Savannah Bananas or the Globetrotters, things like that.”

Hilbert said the show will not feature “traditional” sports, much like their Flavor Swap collaboration. “It’s not your traditional Ruffles,” he added. “It’s gonna be fun. I think fans will enjoy it.”

As for the live stunts, Hilbert noted how they’re difficult to pull off. Audience members can expect competitions during the tour, where multiple Dude Perfect members attempt to complete the competition with the encouragement of the fans. “I think fans will be very entertained.”

And if the Dude Perfect tour bus ever ran out of snacks, Hilbert said he and Cody Jones would panic first. “I think me and Cody are the snack people,” he laughed. “The twins are not really snack people.”

“They eat their three meals,” Jones interjected.

“I think we would panic first, for sure,” Hilbert added.

The ‘Almost Athletes’ podcast brings fans behind the scenes

In addition to Dude Perfect’s upcoming tour, they have their Almost Athletes podcast. Garrett Hilbert explained what fans can expect while listening in.

“We aren’t professional athletes,” he clarified to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “So, we call ourselves ‘Almost Athletes,’ because we felt like we were right there but never could get over the hump. We talk a little sports, talk a little behind-the-scenes filming, interview people that we’ve met that we think would be a good interview for the world to listen to, and kind of just make fun of ourselves for almost being athletes. It’s a fun time. We launch a new episode every Wednesday.”

Flavor Swap products will be available on TikTok Shop on Feb. 16, 2026, and will be rolling out nationwide in March 2026.
