Every Time Taylor Swift Has Been a Bridesmaid in Someone Else’s Wedding
Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce is coming together.
The pop star has reportedly asked two of her celeb friends to stand by her side when she says “I do” to the NFL player. The “Karma” singer asked model Gigi Hadid to be one of her bridesmaids, The U.S. Sun reports. Selena Gomez also received an invite to be part of Swift’s bridesmaid crew.
“Taylor wants to start the wedding process this way — building her bridesmaid group and getting everyone involved in the preparations, celebrations, and planning,” a source told the tabloid.
“She wants it to be fun and memorable for everyone, with parties, trips, and time spent together leading up to the big day,” the insider added.
Fortunately, Taylor has some experience when it comes to bridesmaid dos and don’ts. She’s stood up several times for friends who have walked down the aisle.
Taylor Swift supported two of her non-celebrity friends when they got married
Swift might be one of the most famous women in the world. But she hasn’t forgotten where she came from. She’s served as a bridesmaid for two of her non-celeb friends.
In 2016, the Grammy winner was the maid of honor at her childhood best friend Britany Maack’s wedding to her childhood sweetheart, Benjamin LaManna.
“My favorite accomplishment of my entire life is that everything in my life has changed except for me and Britany,” Swift said in her maid of honor speech (via Brides). “She was my partner in crime at Brownie’s sleepaway camp, and she was my date to the Grammys. And little did either of us know that Prince Charming for Britany would be the kid that sat next to me in class with a bowl cut and a Lego lunchbox.”
The next year, Swift was again called up for bridesmaid duty. The “Paper Rings” singer was there for her high school friend Abigail Anderson when she wed photographer Matt Lucier in Martha’s Vineyard in 2017.
“She looked gorgeous,” one local told People of Swift. “She had dark red lips and carried her friend’s train as they went into the church. Security asked the crowd not to rush her.”

Swift also stood up for one of her famous pals. In 2021, Girls creator Lena Dunham wed musician Luis Felber in an intimate ceremony in London. Dunham asked Swift to be one of her seven bridesmaids. The ladies wore fun silver-pleated dresses, which Dunham told Vogue had a “Swinging Sixties … go-go girl energy.”
Swift may have also been a bridesmaid at Gomez’s September 2025 wedding to Benny Blanco. While the Only Murders in the Building star hasn’t shared who was in her bridal party, Swift was at the event and gave a speech during the reception, People reported.
Later, Swift raved about Gomez’s big day.
“Not just the most beautiful bride,” Swift said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on October 6. “Just like the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
“[I’m] just so happy, and she deserves it so much,” she added. “And you only wish that for people, you know?”
