An Ex Reality TV Producer Dishes on Which Celebs Steal the Show (and Crew’s Hearts)
Reality TV viewers often wonder about the most infamous moments on their favorite “unscripted” shows. Did Teresa Giudice really flip that table spontaneously on The Real Housewives of New Jersey? Did The Bachelor‘s Arie Luyendyk Jr. really dump his fiancée on live television to pursue his now-wife, or did producers orchestrate the whole thing? Well, one former reality TV producer is pulling back the curtain on many behind-the-scenes moments. In one video, she shares her favorite celebs to work with, offering a fascinating glimpse into filming with A-, B-, and C-list talent.
Ex reality TV producer, Liv, spills the details on filming with favorite celebs, like Anthony Bourdain
Although Liv hasn’t stated exactly which reality TV shows she worked on, the working mom divulges many secrets about Bravo series, cooking shows, and more. Liv’s popular TikTok account dishes on the dirt. She also names her favorite celebrities to film with, too.
Liv’s first favorite star: Anthony Bourdain. Although she didn’t say which cooking show she produced with the late celebrity chef, Liv did say he had a “true star presence.” She continued, “He was very, very tall. He wore clicky boots; he would click around the set. And I also listened to so many of his interviews, and he’s so witty and smart and genuinely cared about the people who were on the show.”
Liv explained that Bourdain would take whatever he cooked to the film crew, so that they could eat it for lunch. He also attended a wrap party — something many cast members don’t do. “He brought a bottle of tequila, which is very cool of him, and he played beer pong with us,” Liv explained. “So, if I’m playing two truths and a lie, and I want to humble-brag, that’s one of them. I played beer pong with Anthony Bourdain.”
Liv loved working with Miley Cyrus, Bob the Drag Queen, and Gordon Ramsay
The former reality TV producer explained that she wasn’t necessarily a Miley Cyrus fan until she worked with the “Flowers” singer. Now, Liv is the “biggest stan.” She detailed that Miley’s live performance while filming “floored” her. “Her voice is just incredible,” she continued. “But [Cyrus] also has such a cool aura about her. There was no turning on and off for the cameras. She was just this very kooky — like the coolest girl you’ve ever seen.”
A surprising inclusion? Bob the Drag Queen, whom Liv called “my absolute favorite person of all time.” She explained that while working on a RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off, she experienced the “generational talent” and would “watch his interviews all the time just for fun in my spare time because he is so funny.”
A final favorite reality TV star? Gordon Ramsay. Liv says she did a virtual shoot with the British chef and restaurateur. “He was incredibly kind and took the time to say hello to every person, even though we all had our cameras off,” she explained. “Just so lovely. True professional.”
The former reality TV producer says B- and C-list celebrities are often the ones who ‘suck’
According to Liv, a lot of A-list celebrities — we assume Ramsay and Bourdain would fit here — are “incredibly professional” and “understand they’re there to do a job and are not trying to prove that they’re more important than everyone.” She spilled that the “people in the middle” — think B- and C-list celebrities — “are actually the worst to work with because they feel like they’re trying to prove something.”
Will Liv share her least favorite celebs to work with? “You all know I can’t do that,” she laughs. We assume she’s signed many airtight NDAs during her time producing reality TV.
