Fans Have New Hope This Canceled NBC Show Might Be Revived After Netflix’s Latest Move
A canceled NBC series is coming to Netflix in early 2026, raising fan hopes that the show could return for another season.
‘Found’ is coming to Netflix
Found, a missing persons drama starring Shanola Hampton, aired for two seasons before it was canceled earlier this year. Now, all 35 episodes of the show – which also features Saved By The Bell’s Mark-Paul Gosselaar – are coming to Netflix on January 2, according to What’s on Netflix.
Fans of the show greeted the Netflix news with cheers. Some even speculated that if the series found new life on the streamer, it might lead to a third season for the twisty procedural.
“While it’s not a new season, this is a GREAT step in introducing new audiences to the show! Never stop fighting,” a Found fan account posted on Instagram.
Director DeMane Davis said she was thrilled that a new audience would soon get to discover Found.
“Ya’ll! I learned late last night that…#NBCFound is coming to @netflix ! Not new episodes/a new season(s) but still I am absolutely overjoyed for the #FOUNDNBC writers, actors, crew and directors who will all have their beautiful work seen by a larger audience,” she wrote on Instagram. “This was only made possible by the thousands of fans who posted, emailed, called and wrote asking for more. My sincere thank you to them and everyone who has watched. I hope more people will discover this series and learn they are truly worthy of being Found. I Love You.”
“Yess! The fight for more continues on! I hope this leads to a Season 3! These stories are so important and need to be told,” one person commented.
“This is so amazing! Let’s go ahead and claim many more seasons too! We are ready to support #Found,” another wrote.
Will Netflix order more episodes of ‘Found’?
Found focuses on Gabi (Hampton), a former kidnapping victim who now works with her team to find missing people. To help her solve cases, she relies on Sir (Gosselaar), the man who kidnapped her as a teen and who she is now holding captive in her basement.
Could Netflix order more episodes of the show if it’s a hit on streaming? It’s a possibility, especially if there is a lot of interest in the earlier seasons. The streamer has previously revived shows like Lucifer, Arrested Development, and You, which were all canceled by their original networks. And Deadline reported that Warner Bros. Television might be shopping the show to other networks and streamers. But the odds of a surprise renewal are slim – most canceled TV shows remain canceled.
