In January 2022, Farrah Abraham made headlines after allegedly slapping a security guard during a night out at Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood. According to TMZ, law enforcement says Abraham slapped a security guard after getting belligerent. And she refused to leave the club when asked. Initially, no one called the cops. Instead, someone called paramedics to the scene. However, after Abraham’s continued alleged belligerent behavior, the cops were called. Abraham was then taken into custody.

A video taken of the citizen’s arrest at the bar showed Abraham denying any assault on her part.

“I don’t understand why there are cuffs being put on me,” Abraham said as the cops cuffed her, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “I didn’t — I didn’t hit anyone!” she continued after the cops told her about the alleged assault.

After the incident, Abraham gave a statement to TMZ.

“I’m tired of being maliciously battered, attacked, conspired against while having dinner at Grandmaster Records, this was a private person’s arrest my lawyer is handling from here,” she stated. “It is terrifying and traumatizing that people attack me and I can not even enjoy dinner as I’m the only person out of 3 attacked and harassed when. I look forward to court as always, warning this place is a danger to public figures [sic].”

The security guard who initially filed a lawsuit against Farrah Abraham has dropped it

Following her 2022 arrest, Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham was briefly booked and later released. But the incident didn’t end there. The nightclub security guard involved in the altercation filed a lawsuit accusing her of battery and seeking damages. Abraham, for her part, denied wrongdoing. She suggested she had been unfairly targeted, framing the ordeal as yet another example of her struggles with public perception. The pending lawsuit kept the 2022 clash in the spotlight.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the security guard, Megan, dropped the lawsuit completely. Court documents obtained by the publication show Megan filed a Request for Dismissal. She requested that the courts dismiss the case with prejudice. Megan allegedly requested that the case and “entire action of all parties and all causes of action” be dismissed in early August 2025.

Before this dismissal, the trial date was set for November 2025.

The ‘Teen Mom’ star recently spoke out about security guards suing celebrities

In late August 2025, Farrah Abraham took to Instagram to speak about how security guards continue to sue celebrities.

“I cannot be silent anymore, as I’m still going through legal issues from ‘security guards playing security,’ and then trying to turn around after harassing, retaliating, and coming after celebrities and people with money,” she said in a video. “I’m going to say it like this. This is not the first time I’ve had security guards try to ‘play security’ and then sue me. … OK, well, I have the right to defend myself….”

“The scam, con that needs a law to shut down fraud civil claims from ‘security guards’ who are not fit to play security guard,” Abraham captioned the post. “… The shake down pay day from ‘fake security’ guards you get a job to just civil sue people with money is OVER! A new law needs to be put in place immediately to protect everyone from security guard scams #securityguard scam law ASAP [sic].”
