At the Brand New Day premiere, Pugh opted for emeralds. She wore two emerald rings and emerald drop earrings, as well as a diamond tennis bracelet. Oliver Hobart, a jewelry expert and creative director at wholesale jewellers 925E, shared insight on the emeralds.
“Looking at her full look from the Spider-Man premiere, though, these emerald rings aren’t standalone pieces,” he explained. “She’s paired them with matching emerald drop earrings and a diamond tennis bracelet. That’s a coordinated jewellery suite, not a single ring worn in isolation, which actually makes it harder to read either one as an engagement ring specifically.”
Pugh wore a smaller ring on her right hand and a larger one on her left.
“The more prominent ring, worn on her left hand, is the one drawing the engagement speculation,” Hobart said. “The emerald cut and visible diamond halo suggest a central stone of perhaps 1.5 to 2.5 carats, smaller than a typical ‘engagement statement’ stone, which supports the idea that this is more of a styling piece than a proposal ring.”
Despite this, Hobart noted that the ring could be more personal than something designed to make a public statement. Based on her past jewelry choices, this could be a good fit for her.
Based on Pugh’s jewellery choices more broadly, one thing stands out clearly: a consistent pull towards colour and character over convention. Whether it’s an emerald, an unconventional cut, or a bolder gold setting, she doesn’t gravitate towards a classic white diamond solitaire the way other celebrities have. If she is engaged, or ever chooses a ring for that occasion, this pattern suggests she’d lean towards something with real personality, a coloured stone or a distinctive setting, rather than a traditional diamond.”

Pugh is currently dating Finn Cole. They have been romantically linked since July 2024. In October of that year, Pugh confirmed that she was dating someone, though she chose to keep him anonymous.
“We are figuring what we actually are,” she told British Vogue. “And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster. I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”
