After a young woman goes missing on her way home, Gabi (Shanola Hampton) and Trent (Brett Dalton) step in to help find her on the May 1 episode of NBC’s Found. But when Gabi encounters a small-minded security guard who is standing in the way of their search, she can’t help but give him a piece of her mind.

Gabi and Trent dress down a prejudiced security guard in the next episode of ‘Found’ Season 2

In the clip from “Missing While Independent,” a security guard is getting worked up about a young man handing out missing person flyers at a bus station. When Gabi and Trent arrive on the scene, he assumes they’re on his side. But the pair quickly set him straight.

“That guy’s making people uncomfortable,” the guard says, indicating the man, who is asking passengers if they’ve seen the woman pictured on the handout.

“Seems to me he’s just asking questions,” Trent replies. “Same kind I would in a missing persons case.”

“The only person that seems to be bothered is you,” Gabi adds.

The guard insists he’s just doing his job. But that’s no excuse in Gabi’s mind.

“Well, if discrimination is part of that job, then you are earning that check,” she fires back. “If not, I suggest you find another task before I turn this into a very bad day for you.”

Trent joins the search for a missing woman with Down syndrome

Gabi then goes on to chat with a man named Tom (Thomas Matherne III) and his girlfriend Sadie (Helene Henry). (Sadie just happens to be a Gabi Mosely superfan, and she’s clearly starstruck by meeting her idol.) Tom and Sadie share that their friend, Diane, is missing. Her fiancé Ren (Matthew Davis Von Der Ahe) is the man handing out fliers, they explain.

“People tend to infantilize him and Diane, but he’s super independent,” Tom says of the pair, who both have Down syndrome

Diane’s fiancé updates Gabi on the last time anyone saw Diane. She was spotted at the bus station, where she typically catches her bus home.

“She usually takes two buses home, but she didn’t get on the last bus,” Ren says.

Trent and Ren agree to team up and search for Diane. Meanwhile, Gabi gets a call and appears to receive some unsettling news about Sir’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) accomplice and sister, Lena (Danielle Savre).

“Lena did what?” she says.

Here’s the logline for “Missing While Independent.”: “A missing person flyer draws Margaret into a case about a missing woman with Down syndrome. Previously missing persons from M&A’s old cases resurface. Sir negotiates the terms of his case. Dhan makes headway in determining Jamie’s identity.”

Found airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
