‘Ghost Adventures’ Star Shares Heartbreaking Reason He Can’t Watch Show’s Next Episode
Aaron Goodwin will not be watching the next episode of Ghost Adventures.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the paranormal investigator said that the show’s October 22 episode was too painful for him to revisit. During filming, he received a call from police regarding his estranged wife Victoria Goodwin’s murder-for-hire plot against him.
Aaron Goodwin does not want to ‘relive’ the night he learned of wife’s murder-for-hire plot
“This next episode of #ghostadventures is when I got the FaceTime call from the cops,” Goodwin wrote. “They were in my house & told me what she did & she was arrested.”
“I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call,” he continued before adding that the upcoming Ghost Adventures episode would feature an “insane & disturbing” lockdown during the team’s investigation.
Goodwin and other cast members were filming at the Hollydale Asylum in Downey, California, when police reached out to let him know his wife had been arrested. The episode includes footage of Goodwin receiving the notification that the cops wanted to talk to him, but producers left out the moment when he learned of his wife’s plans to have him killed.
The revelation of the plot – which Victoria developed together with incarcerated killer Grant Amato – upended Goodwin’s life, he said in another post on Tuesday, where he explained that he would not be giving any interviews about the incident.
“To all the press out there messaging me. Thank u for all reaching out & being awesome but unfortunately I can’t talk about anything yet,” he wrote. “I could tell you guys I’m doing ok but I would rather be honest. Just know I’m not doing good at all & everyday is worse with all I’m learning all the time.”
Right now, Goodwin is focused on finalizing his divorce so that he can move forward.
“They say in time everything gets better but I just want the divorce to be over so I can move on with my life,” he wrote. “Honestly, I probably couldn’t make it through an interview without being in tears and I’m just not ready yet. This has been the worst year of my life.”
‘Ghost Adventures’ star says he ‘can’t trust anything’ after wife’s betrayal
Victoria Goodwin was arrested in March 2025. In May, she pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder. She’s currently serving 36 to 90 months in prison.
At his wife’s sentencing in June, an emotional Goodwin spoke about how her actions had affected him.
“She sought [Amato’s] help to kill me,” Aaron said, his voice shaking. “This has led me to fear for my life. I’ve hired armed security for weeks, not knowing if it was over or not, always looking over my shoulder … It’s a heartbreak no one should go through in life. I can’t trust anything anymore.”
“I cry every day. I feel so low …This person over here, I don’t know at all, not one bit,” he continued. “The fact that this person did all this to me, with no worry, no care, or love in her heart for me – I will never feel the same. I will never feel safe or be the same because of what she did.”
