Wyndham Clark has established himself as one of professional golf’s biggest names, combining a powerful game with a career that reached another level in 2026.

The Denver-born golfer is also attracting attention away from the course thanks to his relationship with Emily Tanner. The couple started dating in January 2026 after meeting through a mutual friend. They went public with their relationship in April during a Par 3 Contest at The Masters.

Tanner has since been spotted at several of Clark’s tournaments, and now fans want to know more about the woman cheering him on.

Tanner didn’t know much about golf before she met Clark

Tanner admitted that she didn’t know a lot about golf before she began dating Clark, but has learned plenty since.

“Oh, it’s been so much fun,” Tanner told Detroit reporter Brad Galli. “It was definitely not on my bingo card. I did not know much golf before I met him, so it’s just funny being pushed into that environment. But it’s been so much fun to travel and support him. And yeah, I’ve been loving it.”

Tanner shared that she now plans on taking golf lessons herself.

Tanner is a model, influencer, and entrepreneur

Tanner was born on Dec. 6, 1994, in Michigan to parents Don and Pamela. She has one older sibling, Leah.

After graduating high school, Tanner attended Michigan State University. She received a degree in public health in 2017.

These days, she works as a model and social media influencer. She has more than 740,000 followers on Instagram and has partnered with several major brands, including Schutz and Revolve.

Tanner also co-founded a marketing agency called Over Social Agency with Nancy Nguyen in 2021.

Tanner shared some big news before Clark talked about marriage

On Aug. 20, 2026, during the BMW Championship, Tanner announced that she’s leaving California and moving to Colorado to live with Clark.

“I cannot believe I’m about to say this, but I am moving,” Tanner revealed in an Instagram video that showed her packing up and boxing items. “I have lived in California for the last five years, and honestly, I never thought that I would leave here. I think one of the most special parts about falling in love is realizing that the life you’ve pictured for yourself can completely change when you find someone that you want to build it with.

“After months of living out of a suitcase, I am so excited that I finally get to live with my best friend and start our new chapter together. It’s definitely bittersweet to leave California, but I think I’m more excited than anything.”

Days later, Clark spoke about his future plans with Tanner.

“I’m gonna be in Cabo next week. That’s my happy place. I’ll be down there having fun,” Clark said when speaking to reporters on Aug. 25, 2026, about his offseason plans. “(Playing in the) President’s Cup. I’m playing a tournament in Japan. Hopefully get engaged. And then going to South Africa for a tournament as well.”

When Clark was asked for clarification about “hopefully” getting engaged, he said, “Well, hopefully she says yes.”
