5 Best Hallmark Christmas Movies You Can Watch for Free in 2025
‘Tis the season to be merry – and to save some money. Every year, Hallmark releases dozens of new Christmas movies featuring fan-favorite stars like Lacey Chabert, Andrew Walker, and Tyler Hynes. But even if a tight budget means you can’t spring for cable or Hallmark’s streaming service, Hallmark+, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on holiday rom-coms.
While you’ll need to pony up to watch new movies like A Grand Ole Opry Christmas and Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, it’s possible to watch some older Hallmark Christmas movies for free. We’ve rounded up some of the best Hallmark holiday flicks that are streaming completely for free in 2025.
‘The Christmas Quest’
Christmas queen Lacey Chabert jetted off to Iceland for 2024’s The Christmas Quest. She plays a professor of archaeology who teams up with her ex-husband (played by Kristoffer Polaha) to find a legendary treasure in this charming Indiana Jones-esque romance. You can stream it for free if your public library offers access to Hoopla.
The Christmas Quest isn’t the only Hallmark holiday movie on Hoopla. The service is your best bet if you want to watch Hallmark movies for free. Its library also includes Crown for Christmas, A Cozy Christmas Inn, A Holiday Spectacular, Ghosts of Christmas Always, and many other titles. Even better, you can check out a Hallmark+ Binge Pass that gives you free access to the streaming service for seven days.
‘All Saints Christmas’
Ledisi plays an R&B singer named Lisette who is the victim of a media mix-up that leads to her faking a romance with her ex (Roger Cross) during a holiday trip home to New Orleans. All Saints Christmas is one of a number of movies streaming for free (with ads) on the Hallmark Movies and More channel on both Tubi and Pluto TV. Other titles include Christmas in Love, Catch a Christmas Star, and Christmas Everlasting.
‘The Nine Lives of Christmas’
Cast plus Christmas. What could be cuter? Hallmark served up an extra dose of adorableness in 2014’s The Nine Lives of Christmas. Brandon Routh and Kimberly Sustad star in this movie about a vet student and a stray cat who challenge a firefighter’s commitment to his bachelor lifestyle. It’s one of a handful of movies that the network has made available to stream on the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+ YouTube channels.
‘Hope at Christmas’
Even more Hallmark holiday movies are streaming for free on the Hallmark Movies YouTube channel. That includes Hope at Christmas, a 2018 movie about a recently divorced woman (Scottie Thompson) who returns with her daughter to the small town where she used to spend the holidays with her late grandparents. She’s only there to sell their house, but then she finds herself smitten by Mac (Hallmark fan fave Ryan Paevey), an elementary school teacher and fill-in Santa.
‘Broadcasting Christmas’
The Holiday Movie Central channel on YouTube is a treasure trove of gingerbread goodness. It’s home to feel-good flicks like A Nanny For Christmas, Dear Secret Santa, A Prince For Christmas, Christmas Coupon, The Tree That Saved Christmas, and A Royal Christmas on Ice. While most of these Christmas romances aired on Hallmark rivals like Lifetime, Up TV, and Great American Family, you will find at least one Hallmark movie in the bunch: 2016’s Broadcasting Christmas with Melissa Joan Hart and Dean Cain. They play exes who compete for the same co-host position at a popular morning show.
