Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will air Thanksgiving weekend as part of Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas event. It’s the second pro football-focused holiday flick for the channel after last year’s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

A Bills Love Story stars Holland Roden as Morgan, a pediatric doctor, and Matthew Daddario as Gabe, the Bill’s VP of stadium development. They’re longtime friends, but Gabe has always nursed a hope that they might someday take things to the next level. His interest is obvious to their families (portrayed by Tracy Pollan, Caroline Aaron, and Steve Schirripa) and pretty much everyone else they meet.

Morgan learns from her Uncle Tommy (Joe Pantoliano) that an anonymous benefactor helped the family get by after he was drafted more than 60 years ago, and that he continues to receive a mysterious Christmas gift every year to this day.

“Every year, like clockwork, someone sends me an ornament,” he explains in the first trailer.

With Gabe’s help, Morgan sets out to find out the Secret Santa’s identity and give her uncle a Christmas he’ll never forget. Along the way, she realizes her true feelings for her friend.

Damar Hamlin and other Buffalo Bills players will make cameos in the Hallmark movie

Eagle-eyed fans will spot several Bills players in the teaser for the new movie. Safety Damar Hamlin, offensive lineman Dion Dawkins, and running back Ray Davis all pop up in the clip.

At one point, a man dressed in a Santa suit tells Daddario’s character that he should just tell Morgan how he feels.

“Is it that obvious?” he asks.

“Who can’t see it?” Dawkins interjects.

“So obvious,” Hamlin chimes in.

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story is also expected to feature cameos from Bills head coach Sean McDermott  tight end Dawson Knox, long snapper Reid Ferguson, defensive tackle DeWayne Carter, and wide receiver Joshua Palmer, as well as former players Jim Kelly, Steve Tasker, Thurman Thomas, and Scott Norwood, and Bills’ play-by-play announcer Chris Brown, according to People. Former NBC correspondent will also appear in honor of his dad, former Meet the Press host Tim Russert, who was a die-hard Bills fan. Filming took place in and around Buffalo this summer, including at Highmark Stadium.

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story premieres Saturday, November 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. It streams the next day on Hallmark+.
